Been too cold here, still freezing at night. Right around the new moon, a week from now it's looking like the nighttime temps are going to jump 15 degrees. Hopefully stay that way. Should be a good season once it warms, my region is waterlogged, county has been on flood warnings for a month now.

I seen some in Home Depot on the Clarence rack. They were actually very cheap. I don’t know if they’re any good or not. They were sitting on the floor. I know you can take that center out of the light and use it as a sharpening stone. I believe it’s in the metal light. That way you’re holding as a bloom I believe, high-pressure sodium. Actually, the 600 W were the best in my opinion. I wish I never got rid of mine. The gas exchange was a lot better on the inside of the bulb compared to the thousand and the 400.

I polished my balls yesterday.

Finished planting tomato clones and cantaloupe starts from a fresh cantaloupe.. I didn’t know you could spout fresh seeds?
Anyone using a soil block maker, tried it with my soil mix, works pretty good, cheaper than starter blocks.

the worms in those pots will eat that up. You have to mulch because the leaves will dry out and blow away. Did 2 yesterday, gonna do 4 more today.

As a chef, I always couldn't wait for spring, the English peas, the morels, West Virginia ramps, local asparagus, etc. I had a great spot in rock creek park in DC, that I would get morels, and hen of the woods, chicken of the woods and golden chanterelles in late summer, it's illegal though, it's a federal park, but back then I didn't care, and never saw a ranger where I went. Nothing like fresh wild shrooms sauteed with just good European butter, fresh thyme and garlic, so simple but perfection.
