What's On Your Mind?

I wish I could get as pumped about popping vegetable seeds as I do weed seeds!
It’s just not the same. :stoned:
Have you looked at flowers?
My wife buys way more seeds than me!

She gets more joy from creating flower arrangements than growing veggies.

Starting tiny flower seeds like snapdragons is a fun challenge because they are delicate and super easy to kill when they’re tiny. Gotta bottom-water them for sure…

Looks like I fucked up and used too many seeds for six-packs.
Gonna have to up-pot some of these now rather than later.

dammit :hotpoop:

Jealous of you guys starting veggies and flowers already. Still 4 ft of snow in my yard and 2 feet of ice on the lakes, gonna be a minute for me. It's been melting slowly for a couple days though.

Got chili on my mind :alert::poop::alert:
This is a process and takes at least 4 hours to do it right.

Ingredients with strong flavors like lime juice & jalapeños are added early so they can blend and mellow out.

Beans come much later because starch can burn at higher temps.

Spices are used both early & late for different nuances.

Time to chow down ! :punkrocker:

I start all my wife's od flowers. Its about time to sow those i doors, so they will be ready come to plant od
Nobody does annuals or tender veggies outdoors here until memorial weekend, that's what 10-11 weeks off. Only annuals I do are marigolds (only thing deer wont eat) and 6 weeks is plenty for them, same with veggies 4-6 weeks before planting out is plenty of time. The only thing I'd be starting now are hot peppers with a long flowering time, going to skip them this year. It'll be a few weeks before I start sowing anything. Definitely excited though as always.

I was sitting by th rabbit shed, sitting under a budding peach tree burning one and my son is standing in the garden burning one (20x40 Hugelkultur) and he bends down and picks this beauty up!

Probably not supposed to do it like I did, but I’m giving it a try.
I've spent pretty much my whole life digging in the dirt, always wanted to find one of those but nothing yet. Awesome find!
