Who loves fishing ?

Great shots brother, when I go out in my neighborhood, it's wildlife of a different kind, prostitutes, junkys, city kitties(rats), hood rats, thugs, etc. 😂
Thank you sir. The photo quality is low, but the quality of life is hard to beat. :)

I know your world. I spent decades in the inner city in Edmonton. I've overheard a neighbor discussing shooting me, I've had run-ins with gangstas and crackheads, I've stared down muggers, etc, etc. That's why I love and appreciate the life I've made out here in the sticks. Give me bears over addicts any day.

I took a bunch of pics this morning, but my potato of a camera made them useless. I had shots of the fog-filled valley and more scenery pics. There were 3 pelicans on the far shore and a deer came out of the woods just above them and stood and watched me. In the pics there are 3 white dots and a blur in the bush.
That's okay though. I got to see it. :)

Been fairly slow the last few trips. I've been catching mooneye, goldeye, walleye and suckers, but not many and nothing of size.

Today I caught a quillback carp as I was getting ready to leave, which was very cool. I feel like I must have caught one before, but it would have been last millennium if it happened. I saw a guy accidentally snag one a few years back but can't recall seeing one caught fairly.

After 3 sturgeon the first 20 hours of my vacation, it's died right off. Fingers crossed for a few more before I return to the grind.

That 16' Sea Nymph boat and the 25 hp Evinrude was a boat I had for 20 years. The average year was around 30 trips to lake Michigan, with some years closer to 50. Conservatively, that boat and motor put a few thousand salmon and trout in the cooler over a twenty year period. I've now graduated to a larger boat in my 20' Lund, but I still have fond memories of the fishing done with that Sea Nymph. I even bought a 9.9 Evinrude as a kicker motor for very slow trolling or in case the 25 conked out while out on the big pond.

It also went to Lake Erie a dozen or so times each year over the same time frame where limit catches were easily caught.

Good that you're getting out, JJ. Hope you have a great time.
I really need to get my boats wet, either in the river or a lake.

I went to the river for a few hours today. Caught one walleye and donated a bunch of rigs and lures to the bottom of the river.
