I renewed my medical cannabis license today and decided to browse.
Much to my surprise, I bought a couple of things…

Gotta say… ‘ Chicken & Waffles’ is pretty dang good — especially at $10.21 / eighth.

And my quality bar is high… just sayin. :stoned:

She said they would sell a full zip for $70 - 10%, or $63.

Holy shit!

The store manager said that the economy is fucked,

Cannabis is ‘discretionary spending’, so now everyone is fucked.

Commercial growers are dumping inventory that consumers simply can’t afford — even at rock-bottom prices!

Everybody is fucked.

Glad I grow my own, so none of this shit directly affects me.

It is sad tho… 😥
 
The best I can do on weed at the med dispo, which is cheaper than a rec dispo is $25 an eighth And you need to buy 8 of them to get that price. That's on a special.....everything else is much higher.
They get very few willie bucks at this time, lol.

How much would I really save by growing an indoor crop this winter when a zip of good herb is only $63?

Electricity is still relatively inexpensive, but supplies like grow medium & fertilizer have definitely gone up.
Then there’s the time & effort — with no guaranteed result.

Hmm… :unsure:

Growing outdoors is definitely worth it.
Sunlight is free and I just put plants in a hole with a handful of organic fertilizer.

Trimming sucks but that’s expected. :weedleaf:

It's a race to the bottom @Chunky Stool . A big part of growing for me is the hands on part. Soil under my fingernails. While I grow indoors there's a lot of time outside for me. Fresh air. If not Cannabis, I'd find something to grow that makes me happy. Something challenging.
 
Weed sales here are $200 a zip or get the fuck off my lawn :) That's a pittance but all the younger crowd ended the weed bizness in these parts. $100 zips coming in through the mail from Michigan ended alot of it, including me. Fuck that, lol Wanna sell for a C-note..... yeah me neither :)

I guess we inhabit different places @Hemp . If I was still "working", I'd flip at $100 until the cow's come home!
 
200$ nothing less. Not worth my time for anything less. I have seen cheap stuff. If I didn’t grow it would be ok. Got some fire brick weed for $40 a zip years ago. Someone gave me some stuff for 300$ a qp. It was dirty and tasted nasty. I’m good. I have a few people keeping me busy. One person keeps the fire burning. She hits me up several times a week.

“Someone I know” recently sold a lb of awesome outdoor herb for $800. :poop:
(Tis the season)

I predict this we be cyclical.
Now that cannabis is dirt cheap, commercial growers will go out of business and decrease supply.

When the economy picks up and people have more discretionary cash, demand will increase— along with prices.

I’ve noticed that most of the younger crowd goes for pre-rolls and vape cartridges.

I doubt if they can even roll a joint. 🫣

Both my daughter's can roll real good bats. 35 and 42. They'll wait to see me before going in a Dispo.

I prefer vaping these days from my Arizer XQ2.
It’s way more efficient than combustion, IMHO.

Took a while to get the hang of it, and I’m not saying that you'll use less herb.

But from the same quantity of herb, I get way more ‘stupid stoned’ from vaping.

And the flavor is also much better.
