Im interested in this subject as well. I just found 2 whorlys in my garden. I thought it was genetic, now Im wondering if something in my environment or practices is causing this. Ive seen a few over the years but not 2 different strains at the same time. Its an advantage doe, right? An extra branch = more yield?Has anyone had this trait show on a female plant? Most examples I see tend to one grow out of this trait and two be males. Just interesting to me.

Damn… I’m tryna store some pollen from the Durban anyway so. Glad I know that now?Maybe but if it is only a male trait then no.
I personally have grown out 3 and all were males. Most documented occurrences have proven to be male.
Isn't this also called "trifoliate" or am I mixing things up? If it is, I had a tri fol girl & she was no diff than my regular girls other than the 3 way split.

My Doubble dipped strawberries is a trifolate. First seed i ever germinated. Her clones are what I'm currently growing. I am only on my second grow, so I don't have any other experiences , to compare to. I just figured, I got lucky. Here's a few pics.Has anyone had this trait show on a female plant? Why do u want them to grow out of it? What’s the disadvantage?I’ve had quite a few actually and they’ve all been from fem beans…I just top it than it’ll have 3 shoots than I chop one of them so there is only 2 and they grow out of it from there, mine have at least
For me the couple I let go the buds stayed super small and compact so there more susceptible to mold IMOWhy do u want them to grow out of it? What’s the disadvantage?
