Mindbender roller coaster closed after 37 years at West Edmonton Mall
The Mindbender roller coaster at Galaxyland has been shut down, West Edmonton Mall announced on Monday. The redevelopment of the area is already underway, and the roller coaster is being decommissioned and removed.edmonton.ctvnews.ca
This is the one I grew up riding. Looks slow in the POV video but it used to reach 64 mph. Has been retracked and said to hit 70 mph now. Haven't been there in years though.

We used to have a killer wooden rollercoaster out here in crystal Beach, The Cyclone, right over Lake Erie, thing was crazy and still to this day the epitome of rollercoasters to me anyway (although I do enjoy the bat very much) the entire Crystal Beach theme park is long gone but another theme park has since bought it. At one point it was the largest and fastest in the world.
