Very cool spot.
Jenner is beautiful as well; just down the road.
You don't have to worry about Park rules, in Jenner.
In Alberta we got rules about water. The King owns it, if I need access I can get it. Not like BC.
Course all those old timers got long guns behind the seat, so take that tip with a good bit of salt.
Same as fossils. You are not allowed to dig them out, but if you find them on the surface- they are yours.
Made a point to try an' swim every river South of Calgary.
That is the Red Deer or maybe Battle river ? We swum both , that day.
I have fond memories of my daughters and I getting attacked by what some people call no-see-ums, at that place. They have an alarming bite. Pretty much smaller than you can see and they dont leave a welt.
Zap zap zap
They make your skin crawl.
"We've come too far !"
I led the charge/retreat to the water. It was the only escape.
Nobody was dipping toes that day, we charge straight into the surf like tourists at the ocean.
I recall a conference, neck deep in water, conspiring to get the hell out of town.
