Just jumping in to hijack for a post.

Any Canadians who are jealous of ramjet's pet, here is a source for your very own mantids:

Now available for Preorder!

Mantis ootheca are seasonal: we ship them from March as quantities last: earlier is better. We do recommend pre-ordering your ootheca, as numbers are limited. Please be aware that hatch times on ootheca are unpredictable, and can take anywhere from 2 days to 10 weeks to hatch

note: ootheca are egg cases

Yep and outdoors is getting ever closer to the frost moving in . I’ve had it on my bonnet a couple times already in the morning View attachment 57009
Unfortunately you cant speed up time. I have actually pulled plants on queen's birthday holiday in June because that's when they were ready outdoors. No mould rot etc. Lucky Odin looked after this little Viking hahaha

June wow unheard of in my area . I’m in SA so I think I’d struggle that late . I had Blue Dream outdoors a couple years ago that just wouldn’t finish and went into late April early May till I got the shits and pulled it anyway . It’s extremely difficult for me with outdoors . Scumbag Rip offs do the rounds at 0300am sniffing and fence jumping . I could easily set them up for a world of pain but do I need some dumb fucks retribution.......... No

I hear ya, scumbags with no skill trying to rip crops. Vic mate, weather not too different. Got one at mates just started last week. Runs for 9 weeks. Strange things in Vic with micro climates. Heard different fellas nearly done, some getting rot etc.

Yep it has been an extremely indifferent year weather wise . No heatwaves of 40+ . Really only a handful of days above 30 . If I’d known this I would’ve put a whole veggie patch in without fear of those cranking hot days frying it all. A very unusual Summer came and went ....... Not to forget usually half the nation burns down in bushfires . I suppose after last year there was not much left to burn
