Someone mentioned King Palms in this thread and I cringed.. I find King Palms absolutely disgusting, it imparts a nasty taste that over powers the taste of the flower. I'm mostly a bong guy but once in awhile I'll grab cigarillos like Game's to roll a blunt. I'm not a big fan of rolling papers, they burn too fast imho.
That would of probably been me. If I'm smoking a Bluntish type doob I'll use them. I don't use tobacco rolls/leaf. Imo king palms impart a flavor much akin to papers. But different strokes for different folks.

Paper wise still using the rice Vibes. Very little paper taste and roll pretty easily. Just a bit slick.

Its very paper dependent but I find a good paper burns plenty slow enough for me. I can get a good 10 min session out of a j even if Im ripping on it. If im spacing out it can last a lot longer lol.

For blunts im more of a fronto guy but no one else in my life like blunts anymore so I rarely roll them.

I havent hit my bong since my back injury reoccurence... Im afraid of coughing too hard haha

I tried only the plain King Palms, I just found out they now have different flavors. Maybe those might be better?

Imo I feel like I get better bang for my buck taking bong hits over a joint so I'm kind of biased there. I forgot to mention I also like stuffing Raw cones once in awhile, they burn pretty slow comparable to a blunt but without that tobacco hit.

Oh yeah I can't roll frontos to save my life so I never buy those LOL.

With some of the stuff I run, trust me; Paper is NOT changing that taste haha :)

Depends on what you're into honestly; They have some that are fun to add like a "seasoning" to your weed. Blueberry terps blend well with the Blueberry "snap" pack in the "filter" of those, and so on. We have "Twisted Tips" here too, which you can roll into whatever type of paper or blunt you like, and then pop it to add some "seasoning". The Creamy ones are a personal favorite of mine, cause, you know... The ability to drift off in my head thinking about Chem D Cereal becomes a reality for a few haha.

I just tried those out recently; VERY nice papers! I like the lack of flavor added into the smoke :)

Some papers are a lot better at a slow burn.
I find the worst for going fast are old school paper papers like players or export. And they don’t taste great.

They're designed for people like me who, for some reason, can roll a Burrito, but not a joint :( I seriously need a rolling machine for joints, and it's a sad cause of shame for me haha. They are really nice though.

When it comes to rolling practice really makes perfect. I had a hard time at first when I started smoking now I can roll with my eyes closed in the dark. :stoned:

I can roll freehand but it ain't pretty.
Rolling machines are awesome! Perfectly straight doobs with zero extra paper. (I trim the paper prior to rolling.)

A little trick I picked up in the county lock up in the mid 90's - if you wanna learn how to roll, go buy a pack of rolling tobacco, shouldn't be more than $5. Don't smoke it, though, that shit'll kill ya. I got up to a pack of Bugler a day in jail and started coughing up shit that looked like grey broccoli before I cut back. It comes with a pack of shitty, tiny papers. Use those. Roll cigarettes until you run out of tobacco, break 'em open and do it all again until you run out of those shitty, tiny papers. Buy more papers, or another pack of tobacco if shit gets too dry and crumbly on ya. This will Miagi the muscle memory needed to roll into your brain, and get you accustomed to the 'feel' of a proper roll.

Or spend $5. :)

My way has more Miagi

One of those in jail woulda made my life hell. I got good enough at rolling that some of the old heads in there would pay me (in cigarettes) to roll their smokes for them. I got to smoke on the cheap in a place where everything was very expensive, and every purchase came with certain risks. But, you are right, being able to roll by hand these days is more of a bar trick than an actual useable skill, though it do come in handy every once in a while.

Actually, the secret of the hand roll is the spin,

1. Put the weed in the middle of the paper, fold it, then lightly spin the paper back and forth, which shapes and slightly compresses it.

2. Reverse roll the paper to the starting position, and slightly pinch the middle [the starting point for the roll].

3. Lick the paper.

4. With your thumbs at the pinch, roll the paper upward as you move your thumbs outward.

5. Fire it up.

An easy way to gain the feel is to practice with a dollar bill. Hundreds work the best, but singles work the best.
This guy could use more practice, but he's got the right idea.
