These are the best so far.
My diy indoor pellet backstop works great!

The rubbermaid trash can is filled with rubber mulch. Not only does it stop pellets, rubber mulch is immune to them, meaning zero damage. It is made from old tires, steel belts and all.
The bag on the floor catches tiny black bits that fly of the “splatter” target stickers on impact.
— edit —
I should also mention that I only use lead-free pellets indoors.
Those bastards are going to be in trouble. Looks like you got that scope locked in ? wooooooo get em !! 1676980999768.png

Easy lunch is hard to resist. I can't even recall how many ground squirrels I have plinked in our old veggie garden as a kid. They colonized my neighbors slash piles on the other side of a chainlink fence. They are the definition of relentless. It was like a squirrel wave attack some days lol

Holy fucking shit, my scope decided to reset itself in the middle of a shooting session!

bullseye

almost the same hole

Hmm... I can't see anything so it must be the same group

ditto

Turns out, the last 2 shots were 4" low! WTF???
Similar thing happened to me. Make sure the scope isn't slid too far forward or back and tighten those screws if you can holding it. I always set it down a certain way too. Doesn't take much, 1/32 of an inch to throw you off.

Never shot my air rifles enough to know if the barrel changes temp during a longer shooting session, but I know when I was going to the range a lot, most of my rimfires were sighted in with hot barrels. First couple magazines weren't accurate but once the rifles were warmed up I could shoot a fly in the eye. ;)

If they were sighted in cold, accuracy would suffer as they warmed up.

Or it could just be poor QC on the pellets. ?‍♂️

Snipers leave their ammo in the Sun for that very reason.

You may be onto something with temperature.
My groups start moving down to the left, after about 20 rounds.

I am amazed how finicky this air rifle can be depending on how I hold it.
Pellet weight also makes a big difference.
Piston "slam" vs "bounce".

In hindsight, I would have probably been better off with something like a Seneca Dragonfly Mk 2.
Takes more effort to pump but it's way more accurate.

That gun seems to have issues with grouping fine and then going off all of a sudden. If you read the comments on amazon, there is at least one describing exactly what's happening to you...........my complete wild ass guess is that there is some movement between that stock and the barrel/receiver. If it's the barrel moving the same problem should be produced even with open sights. If it didn't repeat with open sights it's something in the scope or mount, going on. You just have to figure out what fly is in the ointment, fix and go forward.

I get the feeling this is just a barnyard rat gun — which is not surprising fior $88

Take a dollar bill slide it between the barrel and the forearm stock if it does not slide easily you need to remove the barrel and shim it with electrical tape on the barrel lug sounds like bunk but it’s important the barrel is free floating….also air rifles also produce recoil in two directions I put a expensive rifle scope on mine and it eventually popped the scope crosshairs they are. It designed to handle recoil in both directions… I suspect the barrel is to blame here though good luck

Gonna test some different pellets today.

They are a little lighter with a very good ballistic coefficient of .023
I'm also going to check the barrel.
Thanks for the advice guys.

Oh and yesterday I noticed that it literally makes a noise when I shake the rifle gently. Something inside is definitely loose. I should make a video...

Better quality pellets always help, but they probably won't fix this guns problems.

Crosman 14.3g hollowpoints can be good or bad. Sometimes you get a tin of them that shoots pretty damn good, and other times there's a consistent flyer rate of around 20%.

Sometimes I use a "pellet pen" and have accidentally loaded TWO Crosman pellets back-to-back, which shouldn't be possible with pellets that fit the gun. (Mine likes 5.52 mm)
