it is highly likely that rippers will be armed these days. when i was in Oregon i heard about a couple of shootouts that occurred in the woods in the dark.

rippers on the west coast are often organized gangs who scout for crops and try to predict harvest windows and then return in the night to steal.

i don't want to shoot anybody but if they are shooting at me i will shoot back.

i have been shot twice in my life and i can tell you it's not a lot of fun.

i like the idea of booby traps but not fatal ones.

if you kill them then you have to get rid of the body. that could be a lot of work and i'm too old for hard work.

so maybe a good wound of some kind that causes a lot of pain but is not going to be fatal. birdshot in the legs?

i always liked the indians in the old westerns that would bury people to their necks and pour honey on them next to a fire ant hill. i don't know if they ever really did that but it sounds wicked!

i fucking hate thieves! especially pot thieves.

i bet you know who they are. you have either seen them or know somebody who has said something they shouldn't have.

get a trail cam pic or two and then out them to the rest of the cannabis community.

but don't endanger yourself or your family for a little pot.

And if you realize that you know one of the rippers, be nice, put a Quarter pound broken up into eighth OZs under his car seat before you call the cops! Of course , if it turns out to be someone you trusted, the bodies must never be found

We're still here! Not too many peeps know what I do back here. Im hoping to keep em ALL this year. To know they took my plants this time last year makes me lose sleep. Im still up for the deterrent discussion.
I was up there defoliating last Saturday. I know better than to tend the east garden when golfers are nearby.....
I looked over my shoulder and there were 4 golfers staring at me. I yelled FUCK as I walked away towards my veggie garden. And calmed down. Acted as if nothing happened. These are my 3 healthiest plants. gg4 x animal cookies , thc bomb , and THE kush mints cut! ?
The sun rises on this side. It helps keep the pm away. But this side is HIGHLY visible. Thats why I camouflage it behind other trees from prying ?. Goose loves the cow ? I added a few weeks ago. From his parents house. Maybe it reminds him of rhe farm

Its slightly visible from the tee. If somebody shanks one off course and gets a little hasty in there ball retrieval on private property, may be met by a "goose".
Now I just need a maverick. Ya right! These dogs are a handful. Ntm the shovel size shits they take. If the golfer steps in one of those. Hes gonna need some new calloway spikes!!

These motion sensor sound players
for wav files to output through a small speaker. customize wav's with that beep, cop chatter quickly cutting off, and or radio squelches. some of them you can wire a small speaker up a distance away to throw them off and even cycle the sounds.

Like a horse kicking them in the chest until they move again and hear it like their being watched, they either have a long ass night sneaking away or book it

Trailcams are nice if you want to review before approaching, or don't want to deal with being paranoid thinking cops cut your crop in veg and it was really deer..but after veg deer shouldn't mess with stuff (usually, some strains....) and small critters leave marks so its obvious if a person did it. I always wished I had a trail cam and finally do have one but realized i'm not going to confront anyone like in the daydreams, and if anyone rips something as maturity approaches i know its a ripper and the sensor NEEDS to go out if they didn't get it all. Trailcam also lets me know where their approach was from if the ground cover doesn't allow me to track ground activity. If you just put the sensor out without any need, you could have a clueless person exploring suddenly grow more curious and find the plant.

They do have trailcams with hotspots now but that will broadcast a signal in order to do so... those cell cams can be used away from your grow though up high for a good vantage. You want the ones with solar for that. But also be aware, if a trailcam detects motion, it will use IR light to capture footage, which is a dinner bell to a ripper with night vision.

I've seen similar units before when doing a window job. Got hosed when I stepped into the flower bed to measure a window, and then the homeowner remembered to warn me of them. lol. She said they work great to keep the deer from eating her flowers. lol

I've seen a few "glitter bomb" packages that ppl make/leave oot for porch pirates. You "could" make one of those types of traps. Set up a trip wire to activate, but have it release a dye or a glitter bomb. No one would be physically hurt.

I've been shot 2x with salt rock from a farmer before. We were shroom picking and then cow tipping after the shrooms hit. I'm glad it was only salt rock being shot and not buck shot or slugs.

If you knew someone was coming back you could dilute some skunk gland oil or really stinky fish /epsoma biotone tea inline to it maybe some wolf/predator urine mixed in for the deer that set it off? I'd inline liquid ass, first doing a clean run to make sure it wont hit the ladies - then full send the whole stinky care package. But honestly, I think one of those fly bait refill packs that dilutes in water, would be enough to make someone concerned.
