Fungus Gnats in Living Soils,

My bed is soooo full of worms, it’s gotta be similar benefits eh? The worms consume the material the eggs are laid in. And said eggs don’t survive the worm’s digestive properties.
There are beneficial insects in your EWC, they are what eats most FG eggs and larvae. The nutrient value is simply an added bonus! The most prevalent FG eaters will be Hypoaspis miles. I've never seen them but it sure works for me!

Here’s some better shots. For some reason they are always having a party on my carrotsIMG_0560.jpegIMG_0559.jpeg

I’ve found they change color depending if their diet is decomposing organic matter or fungus gnat larva. When they eat the little fungus gnat bastards I think they turn brown and red. And stay clear in a vegan diet.
