I'm a big fan of foreign language music, from Tejano/TexMex to Italian and French pop/rock. People that frequent the music thread know this for better or worse. Usually I don't bother looking up and translating lyrics because literal translations - word for word - most often fail. For example, if you offered a non English speaking person a hot dog to eat, and they translated it, they'd likely freak out thinking Fido was on the menu.

So, to the point, I find many foreign videos perplexing. Here's one. A sweet tune and interesting [to me] video that I enjoy musically, and thought I had an idea what it's about, but the end baffles me.

Ok, I see this might be a video for cult inductions, after drinking the kool-aid they take to being baptized in raincoats, in this cult, to be wet is a sin. As they sing the chant in some unknown language the inductees sway back and forth taking in all the sounds with deep understanding of the sacrifice they will be making. Soon they forget how to spell, they cannot escape so they only walk in circles now. The gods walk free, free to get wet all they want. The sacrifices begin, each one paddles out to his own island to be left there forgotten, leaning on trees. The sleeping arrangements on the island are terrible, but they do give you a rubber ball for entertainment as you live out the rest of your days in silence.

Yeah, that's very close, and a good example of what I'd mentioned earlier about translating word for word. An english expression of say "That's very cool" would literally translate to chilly or cold, and not mean that at all. Even so, right word / perfect gesture is near the same sentiment, amigo, so you're on it.

OK, all seriousness aside, tell me more as far as what exactly got you thinking of the movie and how it's connected to our discussion. Very curious, as I've just read the synopsis on wikipedia. No mention of fromage.

Lol nah bro no Fromage to speak of in terms of the movie but your enjoyment of French Art (and a very intriguing surrealist style movie that I'm mentioning) it's just one of those things I think you'd enjoy is all

My BBHP outside went nuts as soon as it was outside bro. I'm contemplating propping it up because it shot up so quick. It caught up to my other plants so I have it under a wooden structure so it'll have support since it seems like it'll grow tall.

I've about decided to top them tomorrow, then pull the branches down and twist tie to along the rails. Even the seeded buds have been pretty.

You have that spicy berry smell going on too? And that's a sweet idea; you can literally tie them off on the rail if you have to and have it grow outward instead of up

By the way even though Susie Cream Cheese is small and only has a few leaves... I still tried a stem rub lol. Can't help it..... An Exodus Cheese cross has me excited like you wouldn't believe..... actually you probably would believe as you know me Haha! Looking forward to sniffing

While waiting on NIka to get back on the video, I have decided to announce a decision:

Anyone still interested in the video, I'd suggest that the singers represent life and death, or beginning and end. The guy at the end on the cot is the singer but his hair is gray and white [ can't explain the army fatigues or the cot] and the girl at the end [ if indeed she's a girl ] represents the young female singer. Can't wait to get Ms Leeflang's interpretation.

A Texas sized Texas Butter F2 in a small pot. She has had a putrid odor since mid veg, almost smells like a propane leak.
