I have been super excited to start this grow diary!
After my last round I was unimpressed with the performance using promix and organic ferts..and so decided to go back to rockwool for another crack at it.

This time I decided to use unislabs instead of HUGO'S. And I feel that decision was an important one, ill come back to that.

I'll be updating this thread pretty frequently, but to kick it off, here is where I started.

16 x 1 week old clones in 3" delta blocks placed onto unislabs. 8 x Spiked Punch, and 8 x Wedding Crasher.

Was less the promix I was unimpressed with than the organic nutes. But together they really shit the bed.

Dirt is dirty....and heavy. I love the slabs, I can just never clone in rockwool for some reason.

I used to buy enough slabs to fill a 4x8, take the plastic sides off the slabs, and then Tetris them in and fill the entire table. It seems like overkill but I had amazing plants when I did that lol. I had giant solid 4x8 rockwool slabs at the end after harvest, all intertwined.

I'm like you, I got sick of the organics, one for the hit or miss results, and two for the pains in my body. Pure perlite Hempy for me now.

Same. I suck at cloning in RW.. as you can see I used rapid rooters for this round lol. They worked fine.

Same I just went back after losing a bunch in my clone machine. Rarely do I lose them in Rockwool

I think my problem was not flinging/flicking the cubes to get rid of the excess water. I never did that, which I saw in a video recently. I'm just hooked on rapid rooters now though lol

Hmmmm ok that's interesting. I still have a few slabs of the starter plugs laying around here. I'm gonna try a few next round now, just to see.

I shake the water out of them pretty good and then after I put my cut in I'll spray it with a spray bottle maybe once or twice every day. Just keep an eye on them they like to dry out on you when you least expect it. But if it's oversaturated there's no chance so you better off

Thanks! I can't remember where the wedding crasher was acquired but it was expensive as hell.. the Spiked punch is from Sin City. Both were phenohunt sifted from dozens of female plants by a good friend of mine.

Here is a few pics from defoliation day number 2 in week 2 of flower. Spiked punch in the back is over my head here.. they got tall. The crazy stretch is common to this phenotype but when I use massive with gibberellin it exacerbates it. The wedding crasher is much more compact. But both are budding up nicely.

Here is some budporn from my last cycle, this is the Spiked Punch, and they are the 8 tall ladies at the back of the room.

beautiful smoke, very flavorful with a fruity and and almost effervescent thing going on... spiked punch is an excellent description of its flavour. Truely a triple A top shelf bud.
