Some MintChocolate Trip F2s from @Trial n Error, each LST'd and defoliated to some degree, around day 25 F :

#2 is similar in structure to 1 :



#3 - similar to 1 and 2, but the leaves don't perk up on this one as much :



#4 is the outlier. She's my Willy Wonka pheno because she is kind of wonky. Buds are smaller on her too. I've kept her around out of curiosity :



Some of the reversed Chocolate Diesel pollen has met these ladies.

I've got 4 Mint Chocolate Trip F2 going (@Trial n Error ) . None have shown sex yet.
3 are pretty similar in structure/size and look like this :

2 are a 'short' pheno with minimal internodal spacing :

I will try to reverse one of the "short" and one of the "normal" Chocolate Diesel S1s, and pollinate the other two. Hopefully it will work and I can spread the love in honor of Useful !

I found a couple of the outliers also..Look identical to that..They have a wet greasy feel and smell more than the others

Today was harvest day for many of the plants, right around the 10 week mark.

The two Black Lime Special Reserve (BLSR) F5 are similar in structure. BLSR #1 had kind of droopy leaves throughout flower, but has the loud, straight limey terps. BLSR #2 had no droop, and a combo terp of lime and funk, and the colas are slightly smaller, though still a decent yield. I would grow these plants again in a heartbeat ! Big shoutout to @Idlewilder 👊

Here are pics before they got hung. (the small white circular things on branches in the 3rd pic is where it got pollenated with a reversed Choc. Diesel.)








Also harvested Schwaggy's two Hells Angels OG BX4 (HAOG). Terps were a little subdued with earth/limey or lemon/hint of gas. Golf ball nugs. These babies were the tallest in the tents. Can’t wait to smoke these!










Schwaggy's Chem D BX1 also came down today. Earthy subdued terps. A healthy plant throughout the grow.

And the two Chocolate Diesels S1s also got harvested. They were both lovely plants with great structure and very good yields. I think the heavy yields were just one reason Useful used this strain for so many breeding projects. Choc. D. #1 was a shorter pheno with wonderful loud and sharp sweet/spice/lemon terps. Choc. D. #2 a taller pheno with slightly less loud (but also wonderful !) terps , but lacking the lemon part. Both were dusted with the reversed Choc. D. pollen, so hopefully there will be a lot of seeds and I can spread the love ! I can see seeds here and there, but am unsure of the quantity right now.

The Mint Chocolate Trip came down a few days ago. The terps on these are complex, like the Choc. Diesel terps. Kind of tropical/sweet/minty. I really like the smells. Yields were moderate to fat with nice structure on all the plants. Also nice beautiful fades on these gals. Many thanks to @Trial n Error for sharing this beautiful and easy to grow strain.

Results are in from my Chocolate Diesel (from Useful Seeds) project.
My main focus was to preserve, or do a seed increase of, Useful's Choc. Diesel strain. Since I only had S1s from Useful, and not regs, I reversed a Choc. D. S1 and then pollenated other Choc. D fems.
This worked - I got a bunch of feminized Choc. D. seeds

Here is what Useful said about his Chocolate Diesel S1 :

CHOCOLATE DIESEL IS A CLONE-ONLY THAT IS NOT WIDELY SPREAD. CHOCOLATE DIESEL IS A HEAVY-YIELDING, SATIVA-DOMINANT CROSS (MADE BY MAPHIAL IN THE MID-2000’S) THAT WAS OFFERED ONLY AS AN AUCTION-ITEM AND WAS RARE FROM ITS VERY BEGINNING. I also tried to make a few other crosses with the reversed pollen.
The Hells Angels OG BX4 (Schwaggy) X Choc. D (reversed) also made some seeds.
The Chem D BX1 (Schwaggy) X Choc. D (reversed) also worked.
The Black Lime Special Reserve (Useful, Mean Gene, @Idlewilder) X Choc. D (reversed) worked somewhat, though so far, only about 50% pass the germination test.
The Mint Chocolate Trip (Useful, @Trial n Error ) X Choc. D. (reversed) did not make any seeds at all. This was surprising, but I guess they just don't play well together...
