I have spent some time in the back of my mind,,wondering how I good influence the breeding of 100% CBD plant. Mixing two plants together is one thing, but I did not know how I could evaluate the outcome.
How can I accurately accurately discern a 2 to 1 CBD/THC. ratio. (for example) over a 0:0 ?
When I actually got down to Growing the thing I spotted something quite unique. The first few offerings of this. 0% THC plant come out like bloated duck-footed elm leaves. Compare against a more conventional looking blade.
I am thinking this will simplify identifying traits in potential offspring.

Phenotypes leaning toward the mom are known to have very thin stems, strong, lateral 'octopus" branching (in flower), moderate node height, semi auto flowering tendencies when root bound, and very fruity, candy terpenes. I'm unaware of 'extra' spurs.

‘Octopus’ branching is wild and unruly. Here’s an example of ‘Octopus’ branching.

Typically the Zamal leaning will finish first, Malawi leaning second, and the Thai leaning will finish last. Approximately 14-16 weeks for the Thai pheno.

It's best to run them on an 11/13 light schedule for flower.

Branching and stretching and branching ?

They stretch for 4-6+ weeks. You can reduce the stretch by keeping them in small pots throughout stretch. Once stretch is over, transplant them into bigger pots. Typically, we try to limit stress and shock to the vegetive phase. But these are long flowering Sativa's. Transplanting to a larger pot after stretch will improve overall results. It also adds fresh nutrient rich soil that will aid in the long flowering time.

I run everything manually here, and I never let my ladies get into a overly comfortable routine. I randomly run 11 or 10 or 12 hour days.

I became so familiar with the rules and regulations stipulated bye the Canadian federal government regarding my wife medicinal grow permit. Because the application strictly stipulates an indoor grow I came to convince myself that I could not legally grow outdoors. Which is technically true for the medicinal grow.
Just talkin how about finishing this plant I realized that technically: a recreational grower is allowed to grow outdoors in Alberta (Canada?) provided that the plant is at my home address , secure, and absolutely out of sight.
It is now occurring to me that I may be able to finish this plant outside with short ,Cool ,Spring days.

I have more than three dozen strains on the go and I think this one may prove the most interesting. I am considering growing them in tomato cages and just snapping them straight down, every time they make their way back to the canopy height. I would not have done well with this plant as a beginner , however at this point I am much more heavy-handed and not shy about snapping and snipping.

I had some amazing structures , also broad, and also a few similar . Then the terps did show ” super fruity ” and I can see why they call it cherry wine. A few are earthy toned but man they smell nice ( exp when fresh vs dry )

Only a couple of times did I get a boozy wiff from buds. Shishkaberry smells much like Wyndham Estates and I do recall getting a sweet maple syrup Captain Morgan Spiced Rum sniffer off of something.

My light is due on here soon, I have a whole pile of legwork to do in there. Perhaps I can procrastinate a little longer with a little. photoshoot.

In August I found a Mite and did a full stop in the nursery. I rode it out , stopped planting seeds and let everything cycle through flower. When I harvested the last Tangie on October 8th I had ( almost nearly sorta) nothing in flower.
I harvested everything on schedule mid-September but I was stuck with that comp plant alone in the flower room. You may recall my Comp ending photos were all taken outdoors. I got tired of seeing that room empty- so I kicked it out side.
I hate being in the red ,so against better judgement, I put four tiny plants into flower withe the last Tangie.
They shared the flower room alone for a couple of weeks. I was still paranoid about mites and when one of the UnkaZöoka looked at me funny~~ I culled it.
I did end up with three tiny Rinky Dinks. I looked at them this morning and realized they all looked like hell. I started lifting the pots and they were very heavy. This tells me that are no longer taking in water. I am kind of hurting for it , having not harvested anything for a couple of months. I can find Amber here and there on all of them, but they did not really puff up for a good finish. Now that I think about it they were in the last of the heavy soil ,,I must have been drowning them.
Uniboob Miss Romystery is the Creamy Strawberry. It is the purdiest of the bunch.

Short of finding the proper mop pail; I absolutely nailed this thing.

First of all ,I do not even know what it is. ,,,,,just what we need: another Uncle bastard in the world. Staying true to form,,I flowered this thing out in a 1-pound coffee bag.
To show my affections I bathed it in nasty soaps and I went so far as to hit it with a Doom aerosol can.
Those coffee bags are kind of tipsy , eh??I'm pretty sure I drop this thing on its head a few times when it was NOT a baby.
Not sure exactly which episode during which that happened - however, it stopped throwing pistols off top, and grew it's self a Merkin of Sugar Leaf.
