Took a few days but that Romystery eventually tipped far enough to touch the floor. Hog tied up with my trusty Orange baling twine. She will hang in there for a couple weeks.

You may have spotted the green Buckeye on the left.
I understand that they do get taller, but this is what I lovingly call a "no stretch flip"
The plant does get over all larger but there is no branch growth- it appears exactly structured as it did the day I flip- except there's big old buds hanging off it now.

Topped, with two pairs of branches and a lone straggler down below.
Same as now

Today male JTR hit JTR and Respect.
Tomorrow male Respect hits Respect and JTR.

I gotta up the pace. All the males are starting to fire off in The Hobbit hole. I still need to harvest almost a dozen different pollen donors by weeks end. Bang them around a bit and send them down the road. Basement will soon be empty.

I always thought PeyChung would be first , but I actually pulled Buckeye into cold storage today. Those nugs are rock hard and I am seeing amber. I need a lil something for Christmas cheer.

You won't even need to ask me how I am doing. This was greeting me when I turned on the lights today. The room sits sealed triple tight during lights out. That electric coil heater eats up humidity a night long.
I love growing in winter time. I have the pedestrian door kicked wide open with 2800 watts. I am sitting pretty at 24 Celsius. I do not even have an active vent out of that igloo. I just let er buck into the lung. Lung passively radiates out soffit and gable vents.

All in all , was excellent day.
I am staring at this prize Buckeye like it was a longbow harvested 170 Whitetail.
I said I would leave it alone but those thumbnails did not do her justice.

Lunker,, Tangie likes these sharp pine cone, egg- shaped buds. I was really surprised to see these donged up.

Sure, it has been a shïte year, all around, but I will struggle to thrive.
Covid says "stay home" , and I look around - and what do I have ?

My wife and my children are healthy. I have a home and property that fits my toys, and playhouse, and trampoline, and sandbox, and compost , and fishpond and ,,,, a bunch of other crap I cobbled together for free.
Still finding was to make bread and keep my kids in school.
All is well.
Everything will be okay in the end.
If it's not okay , it's not the end.

I was built for this. My hippy admiring parents seemingly spent the 70's and 80's preparing us for the Harrowsmith apocalypse.

I focus on clean living and try not to be too much of a dick.
Learn from the past and look to the future.

Still got three dozen or so to come down in the next month.
,,, and no end in sight.

Looking back on the bad days
I was on a muddafuckin 'rampage
Back when I was caught up in the rat race
I knew somehow, someway, someday one day
I’d be living that Lambo Life
Now everybody goes “That’s so nice”
But nobody knows what I sacrificed
To get this shit
I don't fit in
Yes I admit it
But I’m committed
Told them I gon' get it and I muddafuck hit it
It took a minute
But look, Mang, I did it

One of my fav.s

Genetics:
Respect #13 x Jack the Ripper #1

Reg/Fem:
feminized

Indica/Sativa:
mostly Sativa
Flowering (days):
60-70
THC (%):
19
CBD (%):
11

Cup Winner:
Yes

Fruity Jack 100% (3) order at Hipersemillas

Troubles is , only Fems.
I despise cloning
I hate $13 beans.
I dislike waiting on Coreos Spanish mail.

So ,,,, Trudeau and I are buds.
Not only did he legalize the weed, but he sent me a bit of money earlier this spring and it was my understanding that I was to make good Investments with it.
With the hardships that they were experiencing in in Spain, I felt it was my humanitarian duty to invest and their economy.
My order shipped on the last day of June and was never seen again. They would not open a shipping claim for 90 days. I submitted another inquiry on November 20th and agreed to an in-store credit.
Funny thing is, I actually received the parent plants from different distributors. I was able to plant them, harvest pollen, and make my own -before the Spanish order will ever show.

Always doing things the hard way.

I am very excited to see what comes of this. Jack the Ripper male is compact and vigorous. He was frosty coming out of the ground.

Respect mother has a very alluring scent to her.
Automotive Rosewater. She is a bit more dainty and branchy. That stout JTR male is just the ticket.
( I have intentions using that pollen as a sativa shrink-ray)

Imagine my elation, when I spotted these brown curly's this morning
20201210_084622.jpg
No more pricey rip off Fems for this kid.
I still plan on playing this five different ways and finding my favourite:

Male Respect X female Jack the Ripper
Male Jack the Ripper X female Respect
Respect X FruityJack Fem
Jack the Ripper X FruityJack femme

I still hold namebrand Philosopher Fruity Jack. I will find my own favorite cross and eventually hit that back to the Fruity Jack at F3.

The OG product is slighty intense for the old lady. I may find a quick, stocky, indica to slip in there somewhere.
Skys the limit,,,

,,,,,, continuing Saga of sour Tangie chicken dinner,,,

Sour Tangie that my wife is hooked on comes from the mega producer Aurora.
I must admit it has an absolutely distinct taste.
I have never found its match in any Tangie cross that I have grown out. At one time , you may recall, I was musing about the origins; as Aurora is never forth coming with lineage. I came to realize that most of the tangerine cross I have grown is from Crockett's
I had that credit sitting on my alchimiaweb account so I decided to give these a go

Heaven's Fruit info:

  • Genetics: NY Diesel x Tropimango
  • Sativa-Indica content: 60%-40
  • THC: 18%
  • THCV: High
  • CBG: Medium
It only occurred to me when I happened to land on a Spanish page of philosophers seed. The translation spit it out as "Diesel Tangie"

Not sure how I missed that ,as I have shopped that website before.

Could be that Aurora has no Tangie in it at all. ???? Crockett is using East Coast Sour Diesel. Philo is using NY . I have no experience with either,,,
Who knows?

It's more cock for Dolly,,so we will give it a go.

If its the way the site describes... I dont blame her for loving that cultivar... Its described as just a Mild EC Sour Diesel... one of my all time favs...

Is the smell distinct as well? You should be able to know when shes got the diesel out... :)

Is the smell distinct as well?
As I have mentioned before my wife will not smoke more than half a joint at one time.
With my first drag , on a re-light, I can tell if it is Sour Tangie. Literally, I could accurately separate a whole can of roaches into two piles: sour Tangie and non sour Tangie.

Moreso, she only has three standard greetings, when she arrives to the smoke shack

1. "That is not Tangie"
2. " You smoking my Tangie, bitch ?"
3. ( when I am smoking on God O War )
-" WTF? is burning in here ?"

.,. On a more nefarious note. We stopped smoking sour Tangie in the car , as it sticks to the clothing for hours and we cannot wash it off our hands with alcohol or diaper wipes. My wife can smell it on the cuffs of her parka , even the next morning.

BroJag, If you lived farther North, I would totally send you one. Everyone should try it.

Are they solid as fook?

Good Hell, this Respect smells so nice. I can smell the Frutero hiding in there. She is half Sour Diesel. Kinda smells like the candycane that the nice man gave me after an oilchange.
Also happy to report that both Respect and Squatty Jack the Ripper pollen is viable.

He was just poking fun., she took it seriously.

These will become my rip-off Futero Regs.

I have learned that the summer heat can really floof out the buds. I seem to have plenty of cold air around ,so I have reduced the red line from 29 down to 24 Celsius.
I imagine there will be a decrease in size and possibly weight ; however I am interested in seeing if I can pull off denser nugs at cooler temperatures and perhaps a side bonus of colour as well.

I ended up pulling the Buckeye first because it was rock hard. The PeyChung carries less scraggle leaf but she still had a bit of squish to her last week. She is starting to wart out a bit now. If I scope around enough I can find the occasional non cloudy 'chome,,, just waiting for those angel hairs to disappear.
20201211_123032_HDR.jpg
She can take her sweet time. With Buckeye on the hook, I am in no hurry.

Which reminds me,,,,
you and your buddy are walking through the woods- when a grizzly bear starts to chase you down.
Question: In order to survive , do you have to out-run the bear ?

No,,,
You just need to be a 'lil faster than your companion.

Same scenario,,,
You agree to a duel that begins with an unloaded sixshooter, and a box of rounds.
Question: will the challenge be won by the person who can load 6 bullets into the revolver first ?
No,, it will be won by the first person to fire a shot.
I can only smoke one joint at a time, right?

Chamber one round, plug the fükker, and get on with your day.

You agree to a duel
I read long ago about a badass American duelist challenging a man.

The challenged man knew he was no match for the B/A in a gunfight so he had to think fast. The duelist was about 5'6" while the challenged man was about 6' 3 or so. As challengee, and therefore allowed to choose the terms of the duel, he suggested they fight with sledgehammers in 6 feet of water.

The duelist got such a kick out of the quick-thinking brilliance of the idea he laughed his ass off and cancelled his challenge.

Hope you don't mind the derail, but your post reminded me of that story and it always tickled me. From a Louis L'Amour western, maybe?
