OBSM from eso is a fem
Exactly what I wondered, you read my short-hand.
Did you see that hailed out SourF3 hiding behind her? All puckered out. Looks like "Something about Mary" room-mate, trumpychappedtitties.
Looks like total showgirl OBSM beat the hell out of it when no one was looking. Eso seems like a pretty mellow dude, cant see him turning out something of mean nature.
awesome stuff going
My notebooks look like I am sorting socks.
All the Orange ones pile up over here, all the Chemy kids hang out over there. Off to the left we have Jack looking stuff,,,some sand throwing scoundrels
Sorta scattershot, with incrossed intent. Because I am not a retailer, and not experienced enough to square a 90 cube, I can just make chance pairings and be on my way. I am truly blessed to have a doublefist of Tangie cross seed now. Took some doing. Plan on playing Jack and Respect the same way. I do leave the timing to fate, as I only have 2 Jack, and 2 Respect. I could end up with all female. Same as GhostTown, only germed three , could be all female. Some things are better left to chance. I could see how a control freak could be vexed playing this game. My F2 pollen appeared late, hit females late, and barely got me 2 dozen seed. My JIC Blood ended up in the endzone. It was just meant to be.

Stumpy is front and centre of the group photos, he was the decapitated twin. The coty's may have stuck in the hull,,, never grew any.

Could have been a part of the soil batch that didnt get mixed fully? Looking at shadows and color gradations and locations relative to the narrow field of view in the photo my suspicion leads to light intensity (too much) or given your climate too much too dry air? However I see s green leaf to the right and down a level in the stadium so I am back to light intinsity. I can barely keep my own garden going and am going to need that finger to place in my nose or ear while I try to figure if my issues are fertilizer related or due to not using ro water on last res change.

I must have poisoned them, while transplanting after germ?.?.
Sometimes I get lazy and grab media from larger containers nearby. Perhaps I uppotted them with with freshly watered 800ppm soil.
They are, in fact growing- which tells me they should grow out of it, eh?
There was a time where I was offering testicles, like a stray Miami dog, for SourTangie beans , so there is no way I will tossing these, just yet.

Lil bit of preflower packing. Got a half-sac of 4 gallon stations with 8 plants.
20201020_230408_HDR.jpg
There are four 2L test pilots are in the foreground of that photo. They have flowered for almost 4 weeks and have produced near nothing.
They were so cold at night (12min, 14 average) they have stayed 12 - 16 in tall and did not branch.

The outside temperatures have been bang on freezing here for about a week. The nighttime heater duty cycle at 25% gives me a nice range of 19 - 23 Celsius , when lights out dark.
6- pack of Ripper's Widow and Gold will follow this batch.
Last UnkaZöokas and Buckeye come to flower tomorrow.

Part of the fascination of growing is actually then rush of the green foliage. It always strikes me as royaly opulent, lush and vigorous.
Stark contrast in winter. Still, even in summer, no plant around here has a leaf that wide. Cat-tails and prickly-pear carry mass, Poplar trees, perhaps a grapeleaf may compare,,,
I was in Thunder Bay, Ontario a few years ago. The ferns that grew by the road side blew my mind.
I have spotted a few neighbour's cannabis containers, sunning outside, in the last couple years. They are soooo easy to spot. Tree nor bush -nothing carries a leaf like that around here.

I noticed that these for plants are sitting in half the media compared to the other specimens. I think they dry out and try to spike every day.
Mud bed or bigger container should smrten them up.

Interesting idea to use the coco for sips do you just do that with the young ones? I think I recall you doing something similar but with smashed brick for the flowering ladies.

coco for sips do you just do that with the young ones
First time !
I have noticed in the past it takes less than a week for a sprout to send a root out the bottom of the pot. They air prune immediately, and keep that retarding cycle up for weeks.
In the past I was sprouting some plants and I ended up resting the pots on a large container of soil. I was amazed how quickly and aggressively the roots fired out the bottom of the pot.
This summer ,while on vacation my wife was responsible for germinating the last round of seeds. I gave her a spray bottle for her to mist the Coco bed. They stretched like hell under the Wimpy bulb, but all looked fantastic when I arrived home.
Went into it intentionally this time and the results are amazing. The photos are on my other phone ; but I don't think those are two weeks old.
20201023_101311.jpg
With the flower girls, I built hourglass columnar wicks. ,,, only because I am cheap with the hyrdroton.
This gimmick was simply to stretch my hydroton dollar.
Shamefull, for a zero budget grower.
Something had to give.
Not as shamefull as my last yield,,,

Success !!!
I was so afraid I would drown these.

Wednesday - Buckeye is drooping bottom leaves , after 12 hours of light. Refilled bottom of now- dry container , with nutes solution. Shut off light.

Thursday- by lights on , bottom leaves popped back up overnight/dark.

Thusday - by mid day, sight-window showed empty contianer again.

Friday- after 12 hours of light,,, plant is flat.
Red arrow shows max fill/ sight window.
Capture+_2020-10-23-11-27-06.png
Looks like hell!!!
Then : why am I so happy ??
Because I built a station that will take a full saturation, and be dry by the next day.

Same story on this one,,,
These ones are bottomless.
Sitting on an angle,,, front plant went flat 12 hours after water receded.
20201023_103250.jpg
You have no idea how exciting this is for me. I broke my ph probe last year and have avoided resiviors ever since. Athough I cannot observe or maintian steady ph, with my notes, I am familiar with the proper amount of PH down to mix a new batch. Waterings disappear in a day, so I am free to make another fresh mix. This will work, even though I am flying blind on this one.
I have lost sleep over this.
This is actually going to work.

If I can learn this bucket, I can run them all.

I have been playing this three ways.
Cell #2 is kinda looking like a SIP, as I have been aiming to keep the bottom wet at all times. It angles deeper towards the rear and I let it begin to pool,,,Merely a skim, more like the threat of standing water.
This one does not droop, it is open bottom. I am really close to figuring out the correct placement.
Capture+_2020-10-24-12-25-18-1-2.png
Cell #3
Front plant still suffers when not standing in water.
Capture+_2020-10-24-12-26-48.png
Once I shim the far-back up a touch, this one is set.
Capture+_2020-10-24-12-34-08.png
After this putzing around.
I believe I can open the bottom of all these pails, and they will do just fine standing in a few CM's of solution.
Still have not decided on static standing or run dry. Perhaps a 48 hour run dry, or once week ,,, we shall see.
Just having fun here. I have never grown the same way twice. Seems to be an effective ('ish) way of staying humble.

Nearly 2 years of growing cannabis and I only know a few things for sure :

How to harvest an absolute suck yield.

Keep temps. under 20C

Use heavy soil that lacks aeration

Underpowered light in oversized area

WTF? is IPM ?
I think awesome growers are just doing average things, with awesome consistency.

They just love that CO2. Found a station that will fill my propane bottle for 10 bucks. Electric heat is still less expensive, and a plumbed natural gas line would be boss.

Still, a plant will enjoy a ridiculous amount of light intensity, with a bit of CO2. Those ladies blow up, when they hit the shack.
