Hey, sorry man! Just realized I got sidetracked while responding the other day.
Theyre about 12" probably. Theyre small stature is 100% on me. I shouldve given them bigger shoes. I thought peat behaved more like coco but even though its inert apparently its more like soil.
They smell amazing though, especially the one on the left which seems to be finishing faster. I cant really think of a good way to describe that other people will understand. It smells like a coastal Maine restautant when they still had smoking sections lol.

I have no clue what that would smell like....All I can think of now is Chowder and smoke LOL.
Thats pretty much it! Something like, cigar smoke, salty air, lobster and mildew.

First round of starters for the great outdoors (on the left), hardening off. Theyre going into the garden this week.
The two on the right are the itty bitty autos. They seem to like the sun and even weathered our late frost last week with no issue.

Trying to decide the best way to sex these outdoors plants. I feel like some of you folks have mentioned sexing unrooted clones.... is that real or am I making it up lol?

Stick the cuttings in a cup of water under 12/12 or 11/13. You’ll know in a couple weeks
Finally got the 4x4 scrubbed out, put the clip on AC Infinity fan in (which I love and am going to order another one shortlh) and moved the plants in. Will hopefully get the blumats in and swap out the exhaust fan for the newer AC Infinity style this weekend. Going to add an intake fan this year too for the first time ever. Its taken a lot longer than I intended but progress is being made!

I had considered going the Farmer Freeman route but since im not in a rush and funds are a little tight I figured Id try this instead.
Perfect! Gonna do that this weekend as well. I'll just set the 2x2 up for a flowering cycle.

@Idlewilder and @Gentlemancorpse - I have also heard that growing the clones under 8/16 (light/dark) will get them to show earlier, like in a week or so. I haven't tried it, but any thoughts ? I guess the plant you take the clone from has to be mature enough to show sex though (if it went to 12/12) right ?

Its still pretty cool at night but I kinda decided to throw the starters to the wolves and see how they did. Everythings held up pretty well.
In particular, (HS33 x Bahlki) #3 is actually thriving. Prays right through the night. Prayed through last nights torrential downpour. She's also got some interesting coloration with pale, light green leaves and is already showing some purple on the leaves at the stem. All the rest have dark purple stems and dark green leaves. Ill try and remember to grab a pic when its light out. Thats unique so far. None of the parents or any of the 10 F1s Ive run had this coloration. Definitely taking clones of this one.

Ordered another AC Infinity clip on fan today. Love that thing. Hope they last longer than all these old Hurricane and Vivosun ones. I have a whole pile of dead ones now

Some notes for my own reference here:
Flipped 4x4 today. First dark cycle will be tomorrow. Put the snips from the outdoors in there to sex.
Outdoors:
Honey Bee #3 is vegging incredibly slowly. Wasnt even big enough to get a cut from yet. Going to let it do its thing for now.
Honey Bee #2 has fantastic structure, very vigorous and some interesting variegation. Solid candidate to keep around male or female.
All of the Giesel x Schwaggy Skunk #1 are very Giesel-y. They grow like vines. Really asking for some extra silica.
Hillside Fuck are some interesting plants. Pretty uniform, slower growing but durable with ideal structure. Can definitely see the Alaska roots, they dont mind the temp swings at all. Pretty stoked on them, really hope I get at least one girl here.
