Did some chopping, still seeing what I want to keep, found 2 seeds on the critical kush (think I missed couple pollens on snips when I was cutting on the sour 91) so leaving those buds in place to finish seed development (unplanned but hey I'll take a sour 91 x critical kush). It could have been the gmo sourdubb x wilson male but that was week after sour 91 & these seeds look about 2 weeks in so I'm guessing it was sour 91 but...
Keep amnesia if i can (clones didnt survive bug issues but have couple more seeds if all else fails) get this stump to reveg, fma.
Clones of ak48 & c99 doing much better than original sickly & infested plants I rescued (I get angry that I paid for them lol so they're rescues), I'll retry OG kush & skywalker og later, I'll have to get snip of skywalker from 1 of people I gave it to, it was 1 of clones that didnt survive bugs, I hate gnats, think its controlled now again.
Got some chemdog4, critical kush, white lightning, & maybe c99 & ak48 to chop next week, sour diesels are needier than others, feed feed feed, running behind couple weeks on getting more stuff in flower, i fried veg tent & killed last clone set by dipping in moldy Olivia's (forgot to refrigerate) ugh
Poor little amnesia stump, surrounded by my og to graft on & the boys I set aside, dont think its gonna reveg but trying anyway
Then we have my fried sour 91s & triple threat skunks but they are going to be fine in a week or 2 & going into flower (still gotta sex them). Clones & seedlings mostly survived the yank & root scrubbing & repot (lost a few but most did surprisingly well)

I should probably specify for people who dont know what I'm doing
Until this year, havent grown in years, dont have my old sour diesel/chem, clone only I lost years ago due to narc. Restarting legally now but all new strains & lights (had hid before now trying led). Just playing with different strains to see what I'll keep, looking for something comparable to old SD, new stuff from others is just not cutting it so I'll do it my damn self

I am also in search of that quintessential diesel. I'm running Amherst Sour Diesel right now. Structure, vigor, and overall health wise so far in veg has been excellent. It's supposed to be from a pre 90 chem.

The SD I have now is msnl, not impressed so far but havent given her great conditions either so I'll give clones I got a chance. Sour 91 I snagged looks promising, got some (real) ECSD x moonshine haze seeds coming that I'm excited to try. Not impressed with chemdog4 from growers choice either. I'm wondering how all these places can sell seeds that aren't even the real strains, they're crosses & being named same names as good stuff so it's all very misleading

I think your quest for the diesel will be like my search for the skunk.
Its out there but we will have to find it and bring it back ourselves.

So many times since the late 80's ive heard "the skunk". In 88 i grew 2 from real deal bag seed into 2 -2+ lb. monsters outside that reaked like a skunk nest.

I've inquired about some beans from BC Bud Depot that were supposedly from Sam the Skunkman stock. They said they were from the stock that he had before he shut down his company.
What you grew, could've been the (in)famous RKS?

Seeds from a bag of big giant light green buds with pea size flowers! So consistent they had to be clone grows. Smelt like a skunks ass and was around middle to late 80's in So Cal.
Honestly the diesels from mid 90's compared as per potency and flavor was great too, just not skunk.

Skunkman was unvolved in the original version for sure.
Your a little younger than me but old enough to have smelt it and be able to recognize it for sure.
I just dont understand how something so good could get so lost.
