Hey All,

So I live in a medical state in the US, and when it came time to renew my medical card I decided to get into growing so I checked that box "Do you plan on growing?" YES. Did some research, got what I wanted for tent, vent, light, soil, everything. Looked around for where to get seeds, went with DCSE and got some 3thirteen Citrus MILF, which also lead me here.

So I started my first grow last Monday the 29th of June, planted two Citrus MILF seeds into jiffy pellets. Friday the 3rd of July, one had broke ground. Sunday I noticed roots coming out of the pellet that broke ground so I decided to transplant both into solo cups.

I know I probably should have left the one not above ground alone, but I found out I have the ability to get a free clone should I choose and since I only purchased tags to grow 2 plants I figured if it never sprouts I can grab a clone and still be at 2 plants. So what I did was open up the jiffy pellet to see what was going on with the other seed, and it had sprouted it's taproot but the end/tip of it looked like it was curled. I don't know what that means, first time and all and had seen other people have germinated in a paper towel then plant to solo cups with soil, so that's what I did. Transplanted the one above ground and removed the seemingly germinated seed from the jiffy pellet and planted it into solo cup. I also think I planted the seed too deep the first time.

I'm using coco loco and I gave both some distilled water. The one above ground is still doing good, still growing. The one not above ground is still not above ground lol. Anyway I wanted to say "Hey" and see if I get any feedback on my actions this far.

WELCOME @Blackbeard . Not hard to plant a seed to deep. I try to keep mine about a quarter inch from the surface. Probably best to start a journal and don't be afraid to ask questions someone should be able to help. Good luck on the first grow. Also great choice on the genetics i have three of that strain going right now.

C about depth..If you have questions, a quick search may provide quicker resolution to issues at times, as everyone in someway shape or form fights similar problems, and things may have been discussed. You chose a good place to lay down your roots..

Also @Blackbeard your avatar reminds me of something i have on my wall. I found this piece of a old sailing ship while surf fishing after a big northeaster. The brass fastener was shinny like gold ( i thought for a second that i had struck it rich ) and after washing it off i could see all of the worm holes in the wood that came from the Caribbean. Took it to a museum and was told that it was indeed a couple hundred years old. Just guessing on the Blackbeard part

Thank you all for your welcomes and @Capt. C That is an awesome find! It's crazy how parts of history seems so ancient, then you find a piece of history just laying there and realize, it wasn't all that long ago.

You'll find out soon enough that youre in good company. No shortage of kind & knowledgeable folks around here.
Also, that 3Thirteen Seeds "Citrus MILF" was a fine choice...though I may be a bit partial
In my experience with seeds in plugs/jiffy's...the seeds usually have a way of finding up or down when they are planted a tad deep (or have curly taps). Might just take a few more days than expected, but I'd still expect it to find the light and grow out just fine.
