No matter how cold it gets, I always take comfort in knowing that @Uncle Rom has it worse.

The other day, with my 1K fixture down, Max temp was 16 Celsius.
Colder outside now.
Today, even at %100 duty, the heater only maintained 20C in the dark.
Soil temp is holding 17C, so we are back in the green.

Back to full power now, 1k Hps and 2x400w Mh.
She holds steady at a perfect 25C ,door closed tightly, when she hits -20 outside.
When the temperature approaches 0 outside I need to run with the door wide open. Anything over freezing and I need to actively remove air from the room.

Kind of looks like gibberish, but what I am getting at is the possibility of growing in an unheated building in any Northern climate.
Chickens in a coop, they will keep each other warm.
Floors about 50 ft square, 8 ft ceilings. I can keep it toasty all winter long with 1,000 Watts of forced air heat in the dark, and during the day 1800 Watts of HID lighting will maintain a perfect growing temperature in a leaky room.

The day of dim light did not induce any stretch on the darker side.
Nothing left to do but flower now.

Got two of them, and neither are getting the light they deserve. Still, they are punching above their weight. Both immediately flipped and started producing good size buds.

Looking incredible bro. Some of those!!! And yeah misery loves company. It's always comforting knowing someone's got it worse lol. There's a few of you guys north of the wall that made my winter a little easier

Foot in mouth.
I have been growing HarrowSmith so much lately, I forgot how these things blow up with all of that Dutch juice. Stretch is certainly done, but they are taller than I usually grow them.
I dialed the calendar ahead on the nutrient calculator. They are getting approximately 1-5-3 NPK now.
Tap is 230 ppm
Aquarium peaks at 270 ppm
I have been juicing that up to a steady 750. Over the next two weeks I will be ramping up to about 1200 PPM
Dribble of citric acid to help the medicine go down.


Spied early frost today.


Really enjoying watching this SourTaffy x Black Romulan shape up. Tickled, because in my head I wondered what a Tangie would look like if you handcuffed it. Branchy, to the point of ignorant, those Tangies. The Affie cross did not arrest that trait; half that bed is Tangie crosses and at this point it has thatched itself. ( granted I was the one doing the backhanding)
Now that I have crossed it to the Black Romulan, I am seeing a more columnar plant.

There is in fact a @Kanzeon gifted, Blackberry Mitten hiding in there somewhere. I haven't seen it since January. I made the mistake of planting it between two hash plant crosses. I did some early violence back there, hopefully she is catching some rays.

And she is a giver, that spire is about 18 inches tall, and she is full of them.




This will be the last deep freeze of the season, we don't get a lot of deep chill in March.

I got ice running down the outside of the igloo, although everything is Steady Freddy inside the garden.

He even made one utilizing one of my McTropic (Mikado x Tropicanna Cookies) females that he found. If there is one thing that I enjoy more than seeing people grow and enjoy my work, it has to be making hybrids with plants found in my creations. I truly appreciate you brother! Positive vibes...

I have not as of yet myself. Still bummed I didn't get a female out of them freebies from Dynasty. But couldn't pass up using dust from a good lookin dude. With a mom like the one I used from that McTropic though I have a feeling it'd be good. You might be making the inaugural planting Jewels. Hopefully I got lucky like I did with the MK Ultra f2's ? mom was small to medium sized height with tight nuggetry

She peaked just above freezing outside today.
I selected a 50% Duty cycle, although it was a little light. Temperature started dropping fast, after the sun went down. Humidity starts creeping up.



When I run that heater 12 hours straight it will pull the humidity down to 30 % .

I have heard the expression ' suck the root' , so now I am confused on the translation.

I saw the Northern Lights tonight. Not super bright or colorful but they are covering a huge area. Looking North I could see them on my left and right. They were shooting up, in patches of vertically serrated lines from the horizon , and dancing PAST overhead.
I say dancing because when you see them your brain actually struggles to hear a sound.
Like my ears were jealous.


Built me a little tool.
I noticed that the bristles on a brand new broom are roughed up at the end. I stole a few and furled them into a bamboo skewer.

The motivation to start making seed was to secure and increase my gurls favourite strains. I can't afford to buy seeds for every grow. She has a medical permit for a 49 plant count, and that gives me a little bit of leg room for breeding.
THT, Chiefer, and BoDeebs all chipped in for my Ultimate Sour Tangie quest.

My 'Confidential' pursuit has been aided by Heathen, PFarmer, Old G, Buck, and Bodean.
@Dezzy came through for us, just yesterday, adding another Confidential cross to the harem.

Next season, I am going back to Juanita, in hopes of securing a CBD stash.

There is something in this for Jewels. ?
Once all my chores are done, I can focus on my Sub Cool preservations.

Males harvested 35 days from flip.

Tempted to select a Bloody Sour Taffie ( Sour Taffie ) male. I did not.
I feared I would muddy the waters.
I like it enough that I want more. Being low on beans I felt the smart move was to stick to the original recipe. Not saying I will end up with exactly the same thing, although all of these beans came out of the same two packs; so at the same time they will not be dissimilar.
Once I reapply the same P1's, then I can start chasing down that pink grapefruit pheno.
That being said, I am always up for adventure. I have decided to dust similar genetics with the Bloody Sour Tangie male,, see how those turn out.

I am counting on my fingers and I believe that is the 20th cross I have made with Blood Sour Tangie.

That BBMittens is way in the back, I am not really getting a chance to watch it develop. I do catch a glimpse of it from time to time, when I am standing on a milk crate. I'll be happy to get another crack at it.

Speaking of happy, that Uptown Orange grabs your eyeball as soon as you walk into the room.
