I have been crazy busy. Had some bud rot really take off in the ice cream cakes & the hillbilly wedding 2 weeks ago when we had cool damp mornings & hot humid afternoons for a week straight so I said f it & took everything down a few weeks early to try & save the rest of the crop. Minimal budrot damage to the rest of the plants & it wasnt really too early to harvest either, I'm sure if I would have waited a few more weeks til my planned harvest date I would have lost over half the flowers to bud rot, instead I lost maybe 15% mostly from those three plants.
These are almost dry, I've been snagging samples for the last day or two from the dry room & leaving them out for a bit to try.

Opened up a new ball, 45 grams & over three years on the cure. Tried something new to get it off/out the cellophane & popped it into the freezer for a few minutes before I unwrapped it. The terp oil that separates out over time usually sticks to the cello pretty gnarl but by getting it cold 90% of it came off like shatter with little to no effort. The terp shatter reminds me of food flavor concentrates, by itself not very awesome, but added to something else it really enhances the flavor profile.

Bro thats one veggie and anything that desires cold enviroments I need to step my game up . they are soo good for u and a diff season.
Being in the southern part of Ca I'm pretty sure this is the only time of year I can grow it. This is my first time growing em so it was kind of an experiment just to see if they'd do ok in the old outdoor mix & just drip irrigation from the spigot. To be honest I wanted to grow brussel sprouts but I was a bit late & none of my local stores had any starters so I grabbed the last 6 pack they had of broccoli, I believe it's the "sergeant" variety. I'm stoked on it tho, I think I'm chopping the tops this week & making some broccoli cheddar soup next weekend.

Broccoli cheddar soup went down today. Largest crown was about 8 inches across. Still have two of the smaller ones left over, I might grill em up tomorrow or put them in some alfredo pasta this week. It was pretty good raw as well, I ate a few large pieces of it & the stem was super sweet compared to store broccoli, will definitely be growing it again next winter.
