Medical Strains with Effect Profiles

What's up Pheno Hunters!? I am posting here the stains that I have found to be "keepers" in my garden, where I have been able to backup and keep the strains I've found and also detailed their effect profiles. The effect profiles I'm going to outline have been tested on multiple individuals to know that more times than not, these effects can be experienced by anyone who consumes these flowers when properly grown. My end goal is to be able to offer a complete medicinal cannabis menu to patients, so they are able to find the meds that work well for their specific ailments. Sure anyone on the street can also consume these to feel "high" and enjoy them recreationally to some extent, but my objective is to find strains with testable, reliable effects for struggling medical patients' relief.

First I am going to give a quick background about myself, then a brief list of each strain (found or still hunting), and then I'll post a complete write-up of each. The subsequent posts may be modified over time as I gather more detail (THC, CBD/N, Terpene test results, genetic maps, and more experiences).

So with that, I am a medical patient suffering from PTSD/C-PTSD. Shit sucks and like the therapy is usually sharing, which puts the terrible experiences that I've had on someone else -- so it's hard for me to share, and therefore hard for me to heal. I'm trying though and one thing I've found to be extremely therapeutic outside of growing, is helping others with their ailments. With PTSD you kinda have to re-wire your brain to feel good. Things that help that are playing, interacting, seeing others smile, and especially feeling the reward of that smile knowing that you help put it there. I am a medical patient and registered caregiver in NY. I'm on the hunt for the following strains/effect profiles and I'm starting to be able to mark off some of this list as FOUND! Without further ado...

Lemon Kush; (FOUND! Mother retained in garden)
  • Euphoric
  • release from hard days, relaxing
  • conversation weed with friends/family trusted circle

Head Smog; (FOUND! Mother retained in garden)
  • intense
  • motivating
  • scary if you consume too much

Blue God; (FOUND!, looking promising, will keep a mother from first-gen clones)
  • sleep disorders
  • pain relief
  • substitue for other substances like xanax, alcohol

__; (need this) likely an orange or tangie
  • happy
  • extremely uplifting
  • anti-depressant

__; (need this) -- hoping this is Staten Island Lem
  • psychedelic/trippy
  • escape from reality
  • recreational high, no syptom relief

Lemon Kush: Unknown or Legendary origin
Auburn, NY Battle of the Buds 2nd place winner: April 2023

Grow Notes: Lots of stretch during flower, heavy producer.

Terps: Lemon pledge, coffee, cereal

** caution, generic write-up from SeedSupreme but it fits pretty good***

Very much a cerebral creeper, Lemon Kush Fem’s buzz can take from 5 to 10 minutes to set in, though since she’s potent at 26% THC, her high is very much worth the wait. Energy-boosting and revitalizing, the euphoric feelings induced by a few tokes of this pot come with added benefits - you’ll find yourself suddenly bursting with creativity, motivated and focused beyond the norm to get shit done.

More than just an ‘upper’, the deep body-buzz that comes with this herb is where her Indica side shines, though your productivity and positive vibes will remain while you chill, rather than gluing you to the couch, like many other Indicas.

What you’ll find instead is an utter lack of tension and cares, as your body lightens and is eased - making this an excellent strain for enjoying during the day, or for winding down of an evening.

Most tokers find Lemon Kush to be the ideal cannabis for encouraging the flow of ideas and creative juices, and she can be just the push you need to get through the day at work. However, some prefer to share this weed with friends, as she’s great for initiating a good old chill out sesh.

Since this pot is particularly potent, it should be noted that those with a low THC tolerance (or new to the cannabis community) should take care when consuming this herb, as the high can overwhelm the unseasoned smoker.

Head Smog: Trinity Skunk x Hotcakes
(Sativa dominant hybrid)
THC: 21.1%
CBD: 0.3%
Terpenes: 4.45%

Grow Notes: 63 day average finish. Will stretch 2x or more with healthy plants, and you’ll want to lollipop well to avoid lower larf. Gets real heavy and will need support in the last week or more. Feed organic inputs for best results. CO2 not required.

Terps: Frankincense/Myrrh, Sandalwood, Bubblegum Fluoride treatment, cheap carpet powder.
Geraniol: 1.85%
Terpinolene: 0.9%
Humulene: 1.7%

Dry/Cure: Amsterdam slow-dry method is suggested, along with a 3-week minimum cure
Effects: Spaced-out, anxious. Time travelling. Pre-Hallucinogenic butterflies. Extreme LSD/Stimulant-like effects at high doses. LSD comatose/blackouts reported with extreme consumption. This strain has no ceiling. The more you consume the next level it takes you. Be careful.
Originally from 2019 (Katsu Bluebird). This rare strain was sprouted from seed in 2022 and geno/pheno hunted to find the magic that may only be realized by growing and smoking *THIS SPECIFIC CUT* of Head Smog. Strong enough to make your Uber forget how to drive, and will often give even the most seasoned smokers the butterflies as if you just consumed some magic mushrooms. Paranoid, space/time travels, and even bad trips have been recorded from high-tolerance, veteran smokers. Complaints have been received due to the extreme potency of this strain and should only be consumed by medical patients, addicts coming off narcotics/pharmaceudicals/stimulants, or recovering alcoholics.
PTSD symptom relief. PTSD treatment, with potential to even cure and overcome PTSD/C-PTSD for some patients. Extreme symptoms can be overcome to help patients “be present” in daily life, and not tend towards isolation and substance abuse with regular doses.
Introspective emotional journey’s can be achieved as part of a recovery program to help unblock and process old memories, emotions, and experiences to allow healing to take place.

Blue God: God Bud x Blueberry

Quick finisher: 48-56 days

STACKS on STACKS on STACKS. Nothing but stack. Well that and stank. Hard to describe housefire-like smell, with a blueberry undernote that's almost lost in the gassy, tire-fire, house-fire, coffee brewing, fresh ground coffee like aroma.
Fast acting, eye drooping, slobbery effects.

**more to come on this one, we just harvested!!**

Glad to see this going! My Cheese and Chem crosses live stem directly from the effects they offer :)
I like get the yield/bag-appeal only growers doing this for a living, so no cap. But I grow entirely for effect and guarantee of clean & organically grown flowers...

So I think what I'll do is really expand each of those effect profiles and then get multiple strains for each. The Staten Island Lem may be similar enough in effects to fit in with the Lemon Kush. And likewise, a good cheese would too. That way, similar to the imaginary dispensaries we all wished existed, you could be presented with a menu or portfolio of strains based on effect profiles. Similar to a greasy spoon diner. In the breakfast area you have several items to choose from ranging from French Toast, to a Denver Omelet, to Biscuits and Gravy. They each accomplish the goal of breaking your fast and reversing the hangry that is setting in, but those aren't usually the items you're going to reach for, for dinner time per say... Anyways thanks for reading @Psychobilly I love the interactions with you!

Yeah, I know the dispensary weed is tested, but the stuff you can use legally as pesticide, VS what I'm willing to smoke... lol yeah bro.

I like it! Going to a dispensary was a guessing game, and I've heard horror stories of what Bud Tenders have said to other people, and having real effects, would have been helpful in a better way than hearing a bud tender say "it depends on the terpenes they used at the grow".... like what? Lol. And yeah what I want earlier in the day VS what I grab when it's almost bed time, aren't always the exact same thing, as they all do things a wee bit different.

Thanks bro :) same.
