No more 4x4 :(

I am following along reading this post @Budwulf but the part that i do not understand is the light leaks from the new 4x4 tent. Is the GG4x4 tent not that light tight? I am not that familiar with tents so i am just wondering.

I am not sure yet, but I have read that they are very well made and as long as you check your bases no light should go through. I was more meaning that I had to make sure to figure out lighting in my room while the dark period is going. So I figured 8 am to 8 pm, so no turning lights on etc. Just adjusting life to the light cycle haha.

My flower time is just opposite of yours. I just set up a GG 4x4 not long ago. Have not used it yet but soon. I located mine in the corner of the room so that screened intakes are against the wall or at least less than a inch.Should be plenty of intake coming from the 2 vents close to the wall while allowing a small amount of light. My main room is fairly dim lighting. Not sure of the main room lighting schedule but i figured i would be good whatever i decided. I am thinking the small amount of ambient lighting would not be harmful low to the ground like they are. This is the first tent i have owned so i am not 100% sure that my plan will work.

Haha I am trying to beat the heat here! Running my lights during the day would be like pissing in the wind with the heat in this state. I love that idea of using your wall to help shield possible entry points. I agree with you though. I think that small ambient light close to the ground will be perfect. We have a salt lamp that you can dim and I think that will be a perfect source of light until the lights come on at 8 pm, leaving us with only a few hours (if that) to deal with the lack of light.

First question is do you rent or own? This matters as far as where we go from here. If you own, build a false wall that runs like say 2 x 10 or 12 or whatever the room is demention wise. One vent going in and one going out. Carbon filter for both (no pet hair going in and no stink going out)
You will need decent LED s. Anything else and you will have to move too much air or a/c (heat as far as roomie finding out)
If you rent you are f@cked UNLESS you choose to do this without landlord approval and be able to tear it down and make it look like nothing happened

SO! Few developments with the COVID crisis sweeping the states. The roommate move is more than likely postponed, maybe even shelved indefinitely. As such I can go about my original plan. The only final kink is that our inspection was canceled due to the current epidemic. I do not know if it is canceled canceled, or just temporarily postponed. My guess is the latter. So I am going to set up my smaller tent and closet space until I figure what's going on. Starting a journal so join the shit show!

I use Ona Gel Pro, just fill an old jar up with some and place it near doors or windows that face NOSY NEIGHBORS.........I use 3 jars full from mid flower to harvest. I no longer carbon scrub and hang 30 lbs off my tent pole supports. My HLG 550V2 Rspec and Timber 2 VL have enough weight, I'm not comfy adding an old giant steel exhaust fan 8" and the virgin carbon. I keep it in my canna pantry along with old CMH lights, as backup.

I'm 3 years late, but this may help the next homie with a similar problem.
I'd set up the 4x4, hang my clothes in it, and grow in the closet.
Once upon a time I'd said kinda similar to a growmie here that had a couple tents in the master bedroom.
Recommended sleeping in one tent and using the whole bed room to grow in.
