And then there was that time you got 5 feet of KIS soil and put it in a 45 gallon planter...IN the bloom room :D

To the soil i added 5 gallons of rice hulls, some mycos inncoculator (it had no directions so it all went in), 5 gallons of water with microbal mass and i will keep spraying it until i get it evenly saturated over the next few days so everything is going and then just water around the plants that are growing.

I also added way too many predator mites but...suck it thrips or gnats or anything that they eat.

NO TILL Lets see how it goes.

I put in an unlabelled plant...right in the soil. I believe it is a big and tasty Eso bean looking at it. When i get a female Blue Steel or BlackBerry Sugarcane to show its going in here too and then i will see how they grow. Chop them down add the red wigglers and plant beside them.

45 Gallon GrassRoots lined triple woven planter...The best there are and the bed costs 175 and this was 45, if I like it i will put 2 30s in the other tray and save cleaning planters !
The planter on top is a 4 gallon planter LOL

2 Freak Genetics Whitebread Autos went into Promix HP in autopots. I will put them on salt feed and see how they grow and when they sex maybe 1 can go outside. The broken skunky VA was a male (and i sexed it as male with preflowers, but wasnt sure and i should have been).

That will make the other 2 girls :D

This is a starfighter in a 20 gallon pot that i sexed as female with preflowers, thrips almost killed it and i brought her back and she still had some so may 19 she went outside and she is starting to rebound. I love starfigher but i find it tricky to grow, I find Godbud and Holy War (the 2 crossed}) to be much more forgiving.

You'll know if its big n tasty if she is a lanky veg or long node spacing. Perfect for multi topping. It has a 25% chance of being orange and 75% chance of being og/lvtk both of whom like to bean pole but put out the goods.

And being grown in that living soil it will be super tasty! Best of luck and suck it thrips!

Things are bigger now. I like it a lot more than smaller.

The 45 gallon planter with 3 eso beans. Big and tasty and vegas sunset were labelled.

7East Genetics Cluser Cookies in a 10 gallon
cluster cookies.JPG
3Thirteen Seeds Monkey Juice. This seed was soaked when i received the prize with the rolling tray...thrips...then i won...then thrips then i still won.

Now we are winning.

A properly vegged actual 25 litre pot of living soil. I just take the tops and if its tiny buds they go into something so i want to let it grow and seee what happens, in soil. Next one will be groomed with purpose. 2 x 4 oversized tray) Have to go licght some charcoal. or there would be a logo..

I had 2 citrus milf above the soil too....oh yes its time....I think I have a PHENOHUNTERS sticker for every tent

Garden is shifting again. Imagine a world where a vote is resicnded because...comrade we do not agree with ze photo....sounds like communism to me.

LETS GROW THIS SHIT !!!

and I just happen to be honing my art, the cultivars are about to get real pretty from now until the end of time.

In other very intereesting news....i took rooted 1 gallons pushed the hole in the 45 gallon planter....myco jordaned the shit out of it after the accidentaly mycos overload in the planter...and there was literally zero shock.

they grew better overnight. It is like that grow light shone better and i heard angels sing as the rays beamed all over esos gear.

The question is do i get 2 X 30 gallon planters for the 2 x 4 tray i have left....or do i just bite the bullet and get an 80 gallon bed...i am liking it forever so i think the bed and 10 feet of soil....1 time investment...

And soil...it just tastes better.

GE is correct. I have made up my mind and will put up some autogear in the local trader with way too much extra salts i got on sale.

2 x 4 bed is going down...2 weeks max from complete harvest of the last of the thrippy stuff (i spray the newer stuff and they melt).

Traps....i found 1 or 2 on each trap. BTI dunks arrive tomorrow. IPM Forever.

i have not seen many of those beds in play....elite hobbyist 2.0

The big 80 gallon bed sounds kick ass. Might need to put it on wheels in order to move around, that pot will weigh a ton!

screw that. I am strong like bull...smart like streetcar.

Fill it up buttercup....what the hell do you do if you dont have regrets to mull over? I dont get it.

But...I did it MY WAY :D

its going in and the pheno 440 is going to light it. I am going to hit another RSO X Some creeper unnabelled funk in a jar and...well that usually results in a buy.

The problem everyone has with soil is....relatable to a 3 gallon planter and living soil. The bigger you go the easier it is to get it actually living

I can move it...plastic tray sliding on ceramic tiles and i do the 5 gallon workout daily :D We are out of lockdown here in 3 days and i can list some things i will never use again. Like 3/4 inch line floraflex for bigger pots. I like hand watering big stuff. Its easier to do it right and it takes less water per gallon as the planter gets bigger.

:D I have 2400 watts withhout the HPS maybe i can let it go and then its gaia green 2 8 4 20 kilos (48 pounds) with the bed and soil :D for a flip. I know what i to keep now.

I have really enjoyed the switch to soil. It is time for me to do this right. Someone said holy shit man in 2 years you will be all about teas and composts and no till....bullshit i said....

So whoever you were...my stoned mind lost track, you were RIGHT.

I pick it up friday with 8 feet of KIS soil and 20 grams of that mycos....i will add rice hulls and thats all. Just TEAS for the entire grow...and h20

I am finding it takes years to get your groove....now i shall hone it. Like a diamond.

The living soil LINERS are a game changer for me. Big fabric pots are a BITCH to water....

Love the thread. You just can't get as passionate when you farm with conventional methods. There's nothing like the natural side of it all regardless of the technology and conveniences in abundance.

I began growing in living soils and have grown in just about every way possible from the DWC, Ebb & Flow, Aeroponic along with every soiless there is and I still prefer quantifying living soil and high brix gardening.

Even the strictly hydro members of Growzitall Collective I've worked with know that sooner than later those old cuts need to be restored by mother nature, call it a biological reset but to us it's a restoration process and many of us humble have agreed that some plants are just better grown in the dirt, while others do better for the collective in the conventional methods with salts.

There's never been a wrong way or right way in my opinion, but I will always say that theirs a huge difference between a plant in symbiosis with the environment verses one with a limited homeostasis.

Glad you found the way for yourself.. I only use the conventional for testing the work I plan to release and share, but even then I really don't enjoy the grow like I do on the natural side

Hey, OG, not sure if I already asked, or missed the post, but have you been making any fermented plant juice yet? If so, how do you like it?
I just started my first jar yesterday with a couple different fast growing weeds from the yard.
I'd like to learn more recipes including rabbit shit. Got plenty of that around here!
