Pathogen, pest or deficiency?

Noticed this when applying foliar this morning. Looks like the very tips of new growth has been "chewed on" and a white coloration on the leaf curl.

I'm looking at it like a pathogen for now as it appears to spread by contact to adjacent plant.

Been wet and cool this year, just recently entering a "heat wave", expecting ~85F today.

Thanks in advance for the insight.

The white on the tips reminds me of earlier this year when mine got a big snort of weed killer from the nearby fields being sprayed. Mine got a pretty decent dose I wonder if yours could have been just barely kissed by something traveling on the wind ?

Not out of the realm of possibilities.

The white looking parts appear more like a lack of chlorophyll than anything, not something that rubs off like pm.

Lack of chlorophyll is exactly how mine appeared to me, and weird. They came out of it just fine, in fact they were already in a real struggle when they got hit, with problems inherited from the guy that made the clones, and I wondered if the spray was going to finish them, but they overcame all of it.

I can't tell either... not severe enough to be BCTV, maybe minor heat stress. I've had russet mites do stuff like that though.... I'd scope out the bottoms of your leaves look for any shiny little tiny balls like resin glands but not, dealt with them and they are udder shite. They hate sulfur. and sulfur hates pre-existing oil on leaves so be careful when/how you apply it if it's russet mites. Jadam has a formula that seems to work as an ipm. Hope it's not those bastards though! They love trichomes and only get worse

Agreed hrm damage can look similar, don't think that was it, leaf texture was normal and haven't seen anything on socpe (only 35x) it would be

gettin sparkly oh yeah! Glad it's not hrm. Speaking of, have you or anyone found anything that you know works well against them? I tried so many things in the past and the jadam sulfur formula specific to hrm was all that helped but just is so damn rank and hurts my throat, and i've got plenty now... I've heard azamax can work but some have told me it doesn't, and i hate spending so much money to find something doesn't work. Rotten eggs till I do find a better option for ipm.

Thanks.

So far as working against hrm, I lump them in with spider mites and thrips when considering ipm. Bauvaria bassiana, geandevo and vinerate. I burn sulfur indoor and apply wetable outdoor. In addition to oils sulfur is not compatible with BB so apication timing is needed and not past bout week 5 or so depending.

My preference is to burn sulfur but that is not compatible for everyone.

Outbreak has gotta rotate in some knockouts (BH link) and I have heard the same think thing about azamax IIRC the convo went forbid and azamax worked.
