Curious, was expecting diy.

Will be interested to see how you handle the door(s).
I'm using all AC Infinity parts so that everything can be app controlled.

Doors will be the same poly covered with vinyl... 3D printed parts glued to the poly all around, hinges and 90 degree catch on the other side all around with thin foam in it (like an L, not sure how to explain that)... No light leaks... Doors will have handles and locks...

Man, I fell head over heels in love with The New Ganja Boy Stealthbox, when I found OverGrow in 1999.
Loved box growing!
Your parts amazing so far!
Hey, I found that old post from New Ganja Boy... so many stealth topics back then, so many people having discussions about build outs. Inspiring to so many people...

He says it was built in 2001...

Love seeing this kind of stuff man awesome work!!! Almost tempted to hybridize my outdoor light dep box with some of your design, It's just a deep trench with a short coldframe type structure on top, with those automatic curtain shade mechanisms to pull a blackout screen earlier in the season with short seasons, then by the time things get rainy and it's 13 hours of daylight out I just remove the curtain mechanism. But it needs work (allot, first trial this year and it got invaded by ground critters) and could use some modifications like i've seen in your design. would be cool to just have it freestanding above ground like yours, with the curtain mechanisms like a stealth light dep mini greenhouse. Can't wait to see some plants in this badboy you've fabricated! and with all the sweet ac infinity bells and whistles.

Will you be considering CO2 for the flowering portion from up top cause it sinks down? I know ac infinity is making strides integrating co2 functionality, haven't ran co2 for years though because the burner tips giving me issues so I hope they come out with a generator but have been looking for side by side tests on if having perfect vpd is just as good as running co2. vevor has a small generator but just don't like the risk and you have to vent it so you don't breathe it in, kind of feeling over co2 honestly ever since getting vpd mastered but it's always tempting...

I found OG in November of 1999, but did not I did make this handle until middle of 2000 as I was so computer stupid, then. The instant I found NGB, it was my first cannabis rabbit hole! It completely consumed me.
I really love your project!
EDIT: I was going to post up what I built years later on, and thought better of it.

Hi Cradle of Mirth,
Thanks for the compliments, I hope you use some of this design ideas for your light dep box... You have critter problems in the soil? Ask @Rosinallday for advice, haha, he's my brother and was telling me about the ground squirrel problem he's been having. I think you have to put wire mesh all around the hole... maybe that will at least keep them out of the root zone.

I'm not doing CO2, I'm focusing like you said on VPD rather... Only problem with my design is if your humidity is high because of where you live. I'm in the south and will have to put a dehumidifier in my room to bring down the humidity... :)

Hey man, yeah, that was a deep rabbit hole to go down... I went deep into that hole as well. Haha, I think a lot of people did. New Ganja Boy brought it... definitely remember his build from back then.

Post your build up here anytime, you should have seen my first build. It featured compact fluorescent lighting with zero odor control. Oh boy, thinking back I could have done so much better...

I've been moving out of my office and putting the stuff between my sisters' garage and my bedroom... The printer is setup in my room now and I'm building a vent for it through the window to the outside. There's some fumes from the resin when doing prints... I'll start printing again probably Tuesday.

Everything is looking good, I'll post some pictures here soon...

Hey Everyone,
I'm finally 3D printing again... Created a vent, it's a double corrugated box with vents in the rear of the box that sits over the printer. This setup is vented to the outside of the window...

Printing 2 pieces at a time at 19 hours per print... it's slow going. But it's getting there...

New office setup, with the 3d printer under the box on the left and the custom cabinet on the right...

The outside of the vent was even made somewhat acceptably pretty... could use another coat of paint, but... it will be okay.

The light here is the Ionbeam S11 from AC Infinity, it's supplemental lighting with the Samsung LM301H LED. I decided 3 of the lights are enough for the space I need to light and made a holder for the lights. 3D Printed with high temp resin since the light putts off heat.

The fit is nice and snug... To be held by S-hooks and chains...
