Found the wrong old phone so far. Lol. My daughter had it hiding in her stuff.
The one I saw and found is an HTC older phone.
Put it on the charger last night to see if the battery is still good on it.
I'm still looking for that note 3 though.

Found it.
But it has a cracked screen since I last saw it.
Have it charging up now to see how it's all working.

The Amoled is still intact. Should be good.
Is the battery flat,,,like a stick of papered chewing gum ?

Remove batt, and attempt to spin it on the table. If it spins (swollen) only charge while battery cover is removed.

Got it juiced, factory reset done. Battery seems all good, no swelling or anything. Was a fairly new battery in it before it got upgraded, so it should last awhile for ya.
First 4 pics were taken with it, last one shows the screen.

Yes. Three layers. Reinforced glass covers the touch screen grid. Display lives under both.

Recommend over-sized silicone 'kid case'
Something oversized and chunky. That thing wont take to many more drops.

Glad-brand 'stretch and seal' or rubberized packing tape will waterproof the display , and not affect touch screen.

I will say though that I've had my Note 5 in an otter box case for 5 yrs now.
I'm a contractor, and it does get abused. Lmfao.
Phone still looks like new despite my best efforts to destroy it and the case it's in. Rofl.

That does look like the otter box defender case though. ???

I ordered a Samsung tab-A that has a 4x zoom & a flash hopefully it gets the job done if not a Nikon with fi \ Bluetooth camera will be the next move
