I've done it a couple times with mixed results...some strains seem to jump right too it and explode bud production others seem to bulk up more than normal at a much slower rate...if you know a strain fairly well try it for the last 14 days and you might be suprised at the results...but it might not be worth it with some strains because of the increased electric use.

Note: I do not flush and I'm of a mindset that neither does nature in any way shape or form...just give your plants what they need and when they are finishing I just give them less because they need less.

Once a plant takes something in and uses it in the building process, thinking that giving it just plain water removes anything from already built plant material is just laughable at best imo.

With a strain I know this does add 5 To 10% more product depending on how well I did with my roots feed needs to be bumped up a small amount for those last 2 weeks.

I guess ya gotta buy the book?!?? Lol.
My inner fear of hermies prohibits me from considering this.
In a room of all same age flowers 2 weeks of 18/6 can not have a negitive effect even if that was to happen...it would take at least a week to trigger the herm effect if it was going to happen and with just one more week till finish it would have no ill effect what so ever on the finished product.

My only thought is the terps wont be mature on the new growth so it would be more green tasting. Bigger is not always better or so I am told and would like to believe
I use 315cmh and my terps and profile have never been as good as they are now since switching from Hps years ago so I didn't really notice a quality difference in the strain that did produce more for me...and no one else did either.
A first run Thai cross and the smells are very fruity with a bit of juicy fruit gum like smell.

I might give this a try in the 2x4 I got a few plants finishing up in. Matter of fact, I'm gonna.
When I plan on re vegging a plant I harvest the top from either 2 branches or even 4 branches up from the bottom of the plant.
If there sre some decent bud out on the very ends I harvest them also then stake up all 2 or 4 branches tie them and put them right in veg and continue them right away on my current veg sauce and have very good luck with re vegging.

Whats this?
Ive done something similar for years. You can flower more indica leaning types under 13-14 hours light on daily and it incresses the yeild. It also takes very slightly longer to complete flower time. But try the same thing with a heavy sativa and you will find it either wont flower an if it does it wont finish but keep flowering and stretching. The trick with the increased light hours is old, probably as old as 25-30 years old and people have been doing with cannabis growing.

My math nerd brain had to dig into this.

Let's take a 9 week flowering plant. With a more typical 12/12 schedule that is 9x7x12 for 756 hours of light/electricity

If we go with 18 hours light for the last 2 weeks we end up paying for 7x7x12 plus 2x7x18 for 840 hours, a difference of 84 hours.

84 is 11.1% of the original 756 hours.

Conclusion, if all goes according just right with a 9 week flowering plant, a yield increase of 20% may be possible for an 11.1% increase in flowering light-hours.

If you are a big commercial operation and could dial everything in this could be significant. Honestly doesn't seem worth it for a home grower.

Shit. It just clicked. That's only part of the picture. I want this to be useful, so here comes more math.

Let's add in an 8 week veg period at 18/6.

8x7x18 = 1008 hours

1008+756 = 1764

Our extra 84 hours of light is now only 84/1764 or a 4.8% increase in the light requirements for the entire grow.

I still won't be bothering, but again, economy of scale could make it worthwhile.
