New Grow Journal - Day 1
I promise no more bailing out at the "third" sign of trouble.
This grow journal will grow along the life cycle of an AutoFlower by Gnome Automatics (formerly Mandalorian Genetics) known as Black Strap.
Why this plant? I'll let the Breeder's Notes lifted from seed seller Gaslamp's website explain why I found this plant interesting.
• Sex: Feminized
• Ancestry: Anvil F7 (Reversed) x Black Label Cookies III
• Indica/sativa 50/50
• Cycle time: 65-75 days
• Dimensions: Depends on container size, 1 gal pots yield 2-3-foot plants
• Yield: 28g /sqft in ideal conditions
• High Yield Method: 5 gal pots or Beds
• Recommended Light Cycle: 18/6 or 20/4 (Will flower under 24 hrs)
• Aroma and Flavor: Spice and bakery smells
• Lab Tested THC: 18-21%
• Odor: High
• Grow Environment: Indoor, Outdoor, and Greenhouse
Black Strap is a joint project between Gnome Automatics and Brother Mendel’s Selections.
The goal was to cross two powerhouses with color, size, yield, and terps to make some of the darkest autos around. The mix will bring an array of terps, mainly spicy and bakery areas.
Anvil is known for her Afghan influence, and the Black Label Cookies is known for its sweet bakery and candy aromas.
The Black Label Cookies bring in an increased layer of resin that enhances Anvil’s already generously covered flowers.
These two combined will provide resin stalks and heads that produce color and will enhance any hash made from this plant.
The Grow Plan
This auto is running in a photo tent with four separate cultivars by two different breeders.
Most of you already know this Auto's future neighbors in my 4 x 4:
• 3Thirteen: Rhubarb S1 & Greases Pieces
• Dino Party: MooMoo Doo & Nyx: Bringer of Sleep and Death
At some point, the Blackstrap will have to finish on 12/12.
This plant decision was made after one of my plants never made it to seedling, so I am filling a 5th pot with Black Strap to come along for the ride.
My Hope: That this one is one of the Blackest of Blacks phenos. The photos should be fun to shoot.
