Top 5 Strains

List your Top 5

Mine
#1 Super Glue
#2 Northern Lights
#3 Chemdawg
#4 Granddaddy Purple
#5 LA Woman

Before GG#4 was everywhere I was getting Super Glue for about $100 a qtr and couldn't buy enough. I made caps and tincture and smoked it up. I've never grown it but it remains #1 as it lit me up like no other.

Northern Lights was my #1 for several decades. I still love the indica leaner strains and still able to find on occasion. Another I've never grown.

Chemdawg is the only Sativa to crack my top 5. For me it's the diesel taste that ratchets this strain up my charts and after a couple decades it still pleases. Currently growing a cross with Brutis OG I've named Chemgopher.

GDP will always have a place in my garden. Grape smell and taste of big purple stony buds is always welcome.

LA Woman. A new one to break into not only my top 10 but top 5 now as well. I don't remember any bud like this from back in the day even though I smoked something with the same name decades ago. This is the bud I took on vacation last month and I had several to choose from.

I can never understand how you guys can answer this question. My list changes every time I think about it. I'll go smoke something this afternoon and change it again lol. The only constant is the presence of various skunks/afghans. Romulan is usually up there. But sometimes in the mood for some hype shit too.

Glad I don't actually have to choose!

You know I do. I was hoping to grab a pack at the VA Kind Cup.

I don't think they'll be selling beans there - my understanding, which could be a misunderstanding, is that giveaways can't be more than 4 seeds per person because of the states growing limits, but definitely ask. Paul's been a mighty busy guy these last couple of weeks. If you still don't have a pack this time next week, hit me up, amigo.

Are you sure? Because they sure are advertising like beans are going to be flowing like water. Hope I didn’t sleep on Reds drop for nothing, F2411BD0-D706-4E30-AFFA-CE000063547C.png Was hoping to have cash in my pocket for Saturday.

of course, after reading your post again I realize that you were, indeed, not sure. Which is why you told him to ask. Lol.

That’s the point every couple of months people ask this question and we change it everytime to prove we don’t actually know what we like best lol

So since I derailed another thread above, here’s my list. But it’s only good on November 1 at 3:35 PM:

in no particular order:
Positronics Cum Laude
Serious Kali Mist
Mandala Satori
White Widow from the 1990’s
And right this very second I have a craving for M-39 'Beasters' (yes, I am the only person on earth who liked beasters)

WOW !

I was asked to provide full packs to go in the prize packages for the 15 winners in the smokers cup - I did - and I sent hundreds of seeds, 4 packs and loose, to be handed out.

But I'd sure head to the table that's selling Irie Genetics with many greenbacks.

No chance @Amos Otis might make an appearance?

Wow, awesome gesture! It specifically says that DC seed exchange will have a vendor booth. I sure hope he reciprocates by bringing some of your gear to sell.

I am definitely on it. Feel free to help me pick!

I liked beasters too! I was just talking to an old friend about it couple days ago. @GthaEnigma actually got me thinking about it when he asked if I could recreate any strain that's gone through my 20 yr old grinder what would it be, and honestly beasters was my answer. The weed I grow now may be objectively better but I'd love to sample some of those ol beasters again just for old times sake.

Also, definitely interested that you mentioned Satori. I haven't smoked it, but I have a pack of Power Malawi x Satori that Useful made that I'm hoping to dig into at some point early next year. Sounds real nice from my research on the interwebs

Ha! I have been made fun of more than once for liking that stuff. I can almost taste it in my mind, you know what I mean? if I thought someone really had a seed form of it, I would grow it out today. Hell, I don’t even know if M 39 is correct, it’s just what my Google research told me. Beasters really put me in a daydream mode like nothing else. Also, it was sort of the only consistently available dank around here back in the day.

Satori is awesome. At least for me. But I tend to prefer sativas. Can be a little racy, but not as bad as Durban. High on creativity. Strangely, of all the old seed stock I have, the only thing I have gotten to germinate is two Satori beans. The first was an awesome male that hurt my heart to be rid of. The second just popped ground on Thursday. If it’s female, I may keep it as a mother for a while.

Mandala Hashberry is on point too, not that you asked for my suggestion ?

Yeah, beasters changed everything for us. Before that it was just brick or mids (and not what people call mids now, it was just brick weed that hadn't been bricked, still full of seeds) most of the year, and then we would get flooded with a bunch of good outdoors from Maine in the fall. Occasionally some decent weed would come through that everyone called hydro, even though it probably wasn't, but we never knew the strain. Beasters showed up and suddenly we had a reliable source of "good" weed year round. And then shortly thereafter all the Cali weed started showing up and beasters became "shitty" weed lol. But I still liked them.

I may try and find some M39 seeds now just to see if they even resemble the beasters I remember.

This is still the way things are here.

We even get the Cali branded weed bags with runts written on it in sharpie but it's hemp inside they stole from the fields. It's really terrible ?
