You are a good friend , D.
Good friends listen, and care.
For those that missed the cue; I invariably pull three harvests per year, back to back ,every winter.

Makes me happy that you would read and recall that, and I just wanted to mention it. 🐇

Second act. Late November germination.
I am making a list. I am checking it twice. My current crop should be all off ,mid December. Merry XXXmas to me.
I love to procrastinate, yet I can't keep a secret. I am chatting about it, because it is happening.
,,, wait, that makes me no better than a little kid. If I mention I have to pee it's probably already running down my leg 🌝

My Girl got me going on this. Never before, but a few days ago she suggested a cross.
We were chatting about past strains that I have grown, that she enjoys.
"The Dead Strawberry", she says.
The first seeds we ever grew here were a Larry OG × Smurfberry ; super tasty.
I mentioned that @Bodean had F2'd them, and there was a good supply.
"You should grow them, and cross them with ( Affie×Blood)SourTangie"

How can I argue with that ?
She is my muse.
I I don't enjoy searching through the seed vault for ideas. I find it somewhat distracting, or confusing or,,,
That is no better than going to the mall thinking that you can find Christmas presents.
First you decide on the gift, and then you go find it.

After a few days, I had a workable list. All sweet and sticky.
I would love to give those BOG's a go, they would fit right in.
And while I'm at it, you still holding them Lush F'rs , @UncleB ? I was trying to be all independent at the time, although I would love to take you up on your invitation.
Time is ample, yet timing is crucial; as in order to be ready for a Birthday sampling, they must go in the ground before the last week of November
You wanna see 'em drown?
Send them my way, I will sink every single one.

I have been misreading harvest time on some cultivars by focusing too much on trichome color. Not enough on shape and size or other plant factors like water uptake and senescence. Indoor this Twinklehawk would start yellowing out in the bud before significant amber. This has a bad result on the overall quality of flower and I need to recognize I won't be able to get the effect I want by pushing the harvest time. Long winded way of saying it'll get chopped when the rest do.

Grinding the gears a bit on my soil sample results. A little surprised by the difference in needs between the two beds. Objective is to increase the microminerals and bring the pH down a little. Sulfur is creeping up so I looking for non sulfate micros (reserve the right to walk the non sulfate part back) and am gonna use sulfuric acid direct instead of waiting for the soil biology to process it. Hoping the vermicompost I ordered is like the last time with plenty of worms in it.

The beds are not totally dry sitting idle since Aprilish, gonna water in some enzymes and microbes before topdressing with the vermicompost and pumice and special needs in the next week or so.

Hoping to veg for a good bit in the beds and probably 4-5 plants total.

First things first, out-swing door and a bunch of software updates on the controllers, kinda nervous about trying the dimming hack.

Brings me back to old school days where they taught us to look at an eclipse like this :) Great job catching it and thanks for sharing. Not ingesting news much, so did not even know there was an eclipse ! Maybe the cloudy/rainy weather covered it over here and I didn't notice.

Can't say as I've ever had it, I'll have to get a whiff of her and see if my nose remembers the smell.
