Just another student of the trichome. Hashishan in training.. Have done the Qwet, and blasting, but figured I would build a place around the different techniques, and principles of rosin pressing. No way am I an expert, and the knowledge I have learned come from trial and error, and a large group of individuals. There is always more to be gained in this area, and the more we test, and share information, the more we can evolve as a community.
Currently I run the dabpress 10 ton driptech 3x5 plates. Usually run 185f/2.5 min, then 1.5 min at 210. Mostly getting over 20% depending on strain. Like everyone always said, fire in, fire out. Also if it doesn't hurt you to squish it, it's not worth it to squish!
A little more info to start out:
Mostly 5 or 10 g pucks, tried a 14 needed Irwin clamps.
1000/1100 PSI at the puck
Dabpress 30mm prepress for 5g
Dabpress 40mm prepress for 10-14g
Have the dabpress 2x4 for hash rosin but not enough to fill it with bubble to press yet.
Here are a couple pics of a GG#4 press. This was about 22% return. 90u bags from pressclub
The best question of all, what's your favorite consistency!
Just started processing some jam, budder/badder was my thing to due ease of use, but switching it up. What are your best practice techs? Experiences?
