Chef Dave's finally steering a Ferrari 🏎️

Day 17 and 11, going to have to get plants into flower earlier with new system . Got up to 13 pwec at p0, so full blown aggressive generative steering, (30 percent dryback) that's danger salt levels, but adjusted for another p2 shot for tomorrow. Plants are beautiful, cranking on undercanopy lights at 30 percent tomorrow. This will no doubt create more transpiration and nutrient needs. I'm in love with this system.Screenshot_20260728-093053.pngPXL_20260728_124728375.RAW-01.jpgPXL_20260728_124623214.RAW-01.jpg

This Ferrari is moving! I’m so glad you’re driving. lol Love the new setup and learning a few things while at it. Thanks for sharing and congrats! Glad you are happy with it. Plants are definitely happy! 🔥
Thanks k.k., I can't wait to see results at end of harvest, I will start posting more s.o.p.s in the upcoming weeks for anyone that is interested in modern cultivation steering. I am thrilled with results so far. And so easy after build out. The build was not easy for me, so many things would have been easier with a extra hand and not having a grow going on whilst building. I don't run a sterile program like 99 percent of commercial growers out there, so many things had to be engineered and controllable from feed temps to filtration to run heavy 16 nutes, which the prime is like a thinner molasses in terms of viscosity and has a bunch of carbs, organic clay stabilizers and issues with emmiters, my system right before this one clogged in 2 wks time, due to biofilm. This system is impervious to anything I throw at it. I could have gone and probably should have gone with Athena pro line which in my opinion some of the worlds best boutique growers use, such as jungle boys, craft farmer, fiya farmer etc. it would have been a lot easier, but i tested heavy 16 over the winter and was astonished at the results of terpene production . I use advanced nutrients cultivator series as a base, which is the same as Athena basically, I'm gonna do a same strain clone run soon of running just advanced nutrients with hypochlorous acid( same as Athena cleanse) vs my heavy 16 non sterile to compare results. Heavy 16 is expensive a.f. and if the difference is barely noticeable will switch. I just have to get data driven results, which with this system is capable of doing. This is the only way to truly test . Every plant with this system gets the exact amount of nutrient solution down to the ml. My system stays at 10 to 11 psi even when sitting idle. Cheers dave

That’s what it’s all about. Athena is very common and most would just blindly follow what the big names do if they could. It’s great you’re doing in-house trials. I’ll be tuned in to see how they go. Have a great weekend Dave!

Well, I'm on day 15 and day 22 , this is the first time in 40 years growing where everything is perfect. This is a different world of growing, and once you first understand it, then put it in action , it literally blows your mind in terms of speed and quality. Finally I'm dictating what I want the plant to do except me reacting to what the plant is doing. I so look forward to the next run , when I can have a all clone , just two cultivators per bed, with 1 dedicated sensor per cultivator. This run is many strains, both seed and clones, it has been a challenge to keep even canopy heights, which in my opinion is right up there with environmental control in terms of importance. This is my upcoming bulking ( vegetative )phase feeding schedule. It will start in 3 days ( day 25) for left bed. I will run a lower ec 2.3 during this phase and run it to the beginning of week 7, the bulking phase in steering is about zero stress to plants and maximum nutrient uptake and water consumption. Pore water ec( pwec) should be between 3.5 and 6 ec.Screenshot_20260803-073456.png

Day 29 and 22 , made it through weeks 1 through 3 of heavy generative ( stacking) PXL_20260810_122151895.RAW-01.jpgPXL_20260810_122531091.RAW-01.jpgPXL_20260810_122525545.RAW-01.jpgPXL_20260810_122449769.RAW-01.jpgsteering, on both beds. Both beds are on bulking( vegetative ) steering now, really happy with everything, I will start construction on other two rooms, one a 10 x 4 bed, and the other a 5 x4 test bed. Glad I ran the new system in the dead of summer to see how environmental controls could handle 100 degree outside temps and high humidity, but definitely will not be growing from May 15 through September 21, next year and just keep moms alive in the nursery. I will start in two weeks to take pics and name individual strains. Boring pics now!!

Day 37 left and 30 right. Both beds in bulking phase still till week 7. Temps higher than I like at end of day, 87, but nothing I can do about it, the undercanopy and side lights added 1750 watts of extra heat, root zone temps higher than ideal. Definitely the last summer growing, just not worth it financially and wear and tear on HVAC being pushed to limit. Learned so much on this run , relating to steering, one thing I learned, don't use fabric grow bags in 1 gallon size, don't add perlite to coco. You waste so much nutrients just trying to keep up with transpiration. So for next run 100 percent coco and 1 gallon plastic white grow bags. This will be less wasteful and easier to control dry backs . I definitely will have record harvests this run, but can't wait till next run. I still guesstimate 6lbs for the left bed and 7 for right. Weekly update, day 45 left and 38 right bed. Buds bulking nicely. Autopilot from here on out. Line feed ec on left bed down to 1.8 , right down to 2.2 ec. Right bed back to generative steering with 25 % drybacks at p0. 1st pic is Raging Cajun ( Horchata x Cajun mints), second pick is Blue Lobster Maine trees cut ( facade x Eye Candy).
