Inexpensive help for COPD

I has the COPD. I use a steroid inhaler 2x daily, and albuterol inhaler as needed in between and brothers I will tell you I've been leaning on that albuterol more than I should, to the point where I'm shaking like a dog shitting peach pits. I shake too much to do fine motor stuff and things get screwed up. And getting shorter of breath all the time. Growing worried even as I smoke a pack a day along with bud.

So the other day the wife looks at me and says "I bought you a thing that's supposed to help your breathing" (here is where I try not to show any expression as I think ermaferkengerd not again) "you blow into it and it's supposed to help break up your mucous, yadayada..." That's the main problem I have is trying to breathe around or thru phlegm that I can only get up by coughing myself to exhaustion, and it's never enough. As I try to fall asleep I sound like a damn bong.

Turns out this little item she got me works, really well. Reminds me of a pulmonary function test, if you've had that from a doctor or maybe for work. The FIRST TIME I used it, about ten minutes went by and I did this puny little cough, brought up a bunch of crap. I am breathing way tf easier, and better. It's so much easier to get rid of the crap in my upper respiratory tract that I feel better, less energy expended on coughing. My sleep is more restorative. It's no pain in the ass either, just blow into it for as long as you can and repeat 3-5 times, I started out using mine 3-4 times a day but now that I've seen the results I've had with it, I use it when I have the impulse to grab the albuterol, and I've cut back on that. And feel better than I ever did when I was hammering albuterol.

So here it is, I recommend it for COPD patients or anyone with breathing problems like mine, it has helped me incredibly, 30$ out of pocket. You can thank me later when you have enough wind to shout that loud lol.

Dude.......not gonna nag on you but you have to change up your game a bit. I'd drop all combustion and work with concentrates/carts/edibles for a spell. i know it's a bitch, former ciggy smoker myself.

This is exactly what I did also, as a former smoker for many years. Dropping the combustion like @Willie stated will make a huge difference! Though I have been smoking the occasional doob lately, its definitely harder on the lungs, and I can tell. I mostly stick with the Volcano, Mighty +, or the Peak Pro.

"pulmonary function test" -- First thing that popped in my head. Can't be works & $30 bucks.

Yeah, there's no visual cue like the wee balls in the pft that you try to keep floating, but otherwise not a lot of difference. It has definitely helped me 30$ worth and then some.

No worries @Willie I don't feel nagged at. I'm going to try and break the tobacco habit again, we have a close friend battling lung cancer and my wife is taking her to treatments and being otherwise supportive but I also see the worry and uncertainty on her face when she looks at me as I grab a drag off a cig. I don't like being the cause of that look. I tried vaping long ago and didn't care for the way the vapor felt when I inhaled it, so most likely to go on burning the bud, but you never know.
