Iron Maiden fans?

I saw "powerslave" (w Twisted Sister) and "somewhere on tour" (w too wasted to remember) and one other tour, back in the stone age. Amazing shows.
I hope you have a blast.

Piece of Mind is my favorite album and Still Life is my favorite song. Crazy. (Can't you see? Not just me, they want you too)

Up the Irons ! indeed. I've never gotten to see them and likely won't ever, unless possibly in Cincinatti sometime. But I've about played out for the big venue shows. My favorite is Wasted Years.

LOL leave it to Sternn, always with a story. A great friend of mine moved to Memphis after we got out of school, 2-3 times a year a bunch of us would load up and drive down there to hang with him for a weekend. So we did that and we're hanging at his house partying, a buddy of his comes by and says hey man I hope you don't mind, I invited a couple dudes over here, they're cool you'll like 'em.

About an hour later this dude comes walking in, has fucking Nicko McBrain right behind him. I said HOLY FUCKING SHIT LOOK WHO'S HERE !! I was the only one of us that recognized him so everybody looks at me and says how the fuck would YOU know that guy ? I said I know that guy and I know what he does for a living ! Nicko starts laughing, everybody is looking confused, and then I told them who it was. The dude with him was a drum tech and him and the dude that invited them were friends. He was a really nice guy. I told him I really loved his playing style and I called it Crash Bang Boom, he seemed to like that.

One of a couple of Forrest Gump-like brushes with greatness this country boy got to have. :D

My first concert ever was iron maiden for the iron maiden album.

What a band.

And sometimes I just queue the entire catalogue and play them all.

And some shit is pretty amazing. Run to the hills was one of the first wakeups to the First Nations treatment.

And it was a solid hit

I had to hide my albums from mom.

:).

Like a bard in a tavern but with 3 guitars and a dual that goes to. 12

we must be kindred spirits! still life (although kinda obscure) is my fav song by them.

my buddy from valdosta GA was gonna come to Denver but he's still dealing with hurricane Helene aftermath. sold his tix and got a bit of drinking money now

What blew me away, after not listening to them for like 2 decades i was ripping high on mushrooms.... i queued it up on apple music...

First of all you know EVERY LYRIC.... kinda weird.

But the song Phantom of the Opera....
WOW

It switched time signatures throughout the song.... goes to a full reggae beat in the middle and then rocks it out.

Its like PRE RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE.... rage against the machine.

Keep your distance, walk away
Don't take his bait
Don't you stray, don't fade away

I'm a tossup between Rush and Maiden.
2112 is the same idea.

But moving pictures. Lost me forever

But time signature changing mofos. Rush.
A lot of songs.

I love 2112 start to finish. It’s a story.

But. They are no Iron Maiden

You take my life but I’ll take yours too. Fire musket and I’ll run you through.

Makes my balls tingle even today

Ok. Full anthology making the walls shake.

My son got up and just left. Because I own the dial. And it’s on 12.

I don’t think anymore they ARE my favorite band

Me and 2 buddy's saw them ( 4th row) in San Diego mid 90's Great show! We started driving, buzzed, excited, talking about the show and went the wrong way. Almost ended up in Mexico! Then ran out of gas, no one had $$ and we had to beg for $$ at a gas station 🤦 people would react with scepticism but I am like no seriously we really need gas lol! I still don't know how we made it home.
