Kratom

The strong kratom concentrate is now banned in most states (7 tabs and similar ) I will say it was very strong just like pain pills but the side effects were worse . You'd feel groggy and tired the next day . You also build a tolerance to it much faster than traditional pills . So yes it would def help with pain management but it is also very addictive.

Ive ate edibles more times than I can count..And have absolutely regretted many of those times unless I had a good amount of alcohol in my system...No amount of cannabis being bud.. Edibles.. RSO...Any of it has a negative impact if mixed with alcohol

.Huge huge problem without alcohol...Even just bud..I can't explain why just that it's a fact.. Ibuprofen and naproxen is a no no with these heart meds ...That's one thing they told me...Ya think Kratom a couple days a week would lead to problems? I was on opiates for a solid year and didn't have much problem quitting...I NEVER took them daily even when I could
.Kratom would be used the same way
.Couple days a week...Same as I used opiates
.Work to unbelievable pain and a couple days of pain relief..worked for me for the most part

I think you could probably (not sure of interactions with other meds) combine kava kava, psilocybin, cbd, and cbg and you'd get a decent amount of relief. Kava is underrated.

IF you were to incorporate kratom, do it blind. Meaning have the dose precisely measured and have it added to something (like the above concoction which makes your mouth numb so it'd be undetectable) without your knowledge, only on the days and at the time when pain is the worst. But again, check to make sure you can take it safely with a doctor. If I were in your shoes I'd want it completely hidden from me.

But honestly dude, your kind of pain is exactly what pharma opiates are for. There's no shame in taking them when it's needed. I was a "never opiates again" guy after they killed my sister... until I broke my ankle in 5 places and was screaming from the pain. They have their place.

Again, be careful. The nature of opiates is that they will invent pain for incentive to take more. The only thing that makes kratom different from pharma opiates is the lesser OD potential. And the potential for heavy metal poisoning. And the lack of testing that whatever's in the bag is pure. And the fact that it can turn your skin a weird bluish gray color and make you irritable.

Also, don't underestimate the effectiveness of topical ointments. I'm constantly in pain and the Chinese market by my house is so clutch. Icy Hot and Ben-gay are solid, but better are Zheng Gu Shui, Po Sum On, White Lotus Oil, and Zang Hong Hua. And Tiger Balm, obviously. I just finished putting some of the first two and the resin from my vape on my knee, which got hit decently with another knee in Muay Thai class tonight and has a nice Grimace-purple bruise coming up.

Does topical thc work for you?

I wouldn't even consider taking the concentrate...I'm only talking about the pure leaf Kratom that has been lab batch tested...I won't even eat a sandwich from a gas station let alone any type of supplements...I'm sure the 7 0H could be had if ya tried hard enough to get it but I'm not interested in that. It's definitely banned in Ohio and for good reason..That stuff was crushing people's lives..

Read lots of write ups just like the link ya sent..The problem I see is it's coming from a treatment rehab center..Im hoping I bypassed some of the concerns they talk about by paying for the more expensive powders that are small batch tested for heavy metals and batch potentcy..All.of the topicals I've used even the prescription topicals loaded with gabapentin don't touch my pain. Basically like it was a waste of time to even put it on..While I haven't tried some of the things you listed I'm surely not against trying them out..I do take CBD and CBG.. without those ide probably have strung myself up by now..I'm going to start reading up on Kava..I'm going to be completely honest..The only thing that even touched my pain was opiates mixed with alcohol... Literally the ONLY thing...We all know that's not a solid plan..It's a recipe for disaster..Ive done it many many times and could have easily fallen into that trap..Just have more sense than that..I have family members in the ground following that protocol...Wasn't long ago when the walleye run was going on I was fishing the river..I was dead ass hurt from wading that river fighting current and using everything in me to stay upright..My legs was ruined however I wasn't missing it..Get up first thing in the morning wash down some oxycodone with a tall beer and I was good to go..So dangerous man and I knew that..I still have opiates here and just walk right past them daily it's just not something I want to do..I know I'll run out eventually and for some strange reason that makes me not take them..Doc was fine giving me 8 pills a month forever...I just stopped going to the doctor however toward the beginning of the year..I could easily just go back to that doc get my two pills a week and get all fucked up on opiates and alcohol twice a week and probably be satisfied with that..That's just a absolute ignorant plan for me tho..I know the pain is only getting worse so I'm scrambling to just try and get by..I hurt so bad I have thoughts of who cares what happens if I died i wouldn't have to feel this bullshit..Im much stronger than that and kick those intrusive thoughts out the window..

Hey, I have used Kratom in the past. It was powdered and I made tea. Essentially it was about 1/2 teaspoon.

I used it as a last resort for pain, which was worsening my depression.

It did relieve some pain but also gave me that separated from body head high, but also some shakes and sometimes stomach knots one the comedown.

As far as withdraws, yes. I would be irritable and have cravings.

I would only use it once or twice a week, and only used it for about 3 months. While I was using it I quit alcohol, worked out, and changed my diet to clean foods.

Now my exercise and diet cured my depression and inflammation. And when I’m in pain cannabis does the job.

Advice: if the pain is to the point your depression and thoughts are rock bottom, give it a try. But be warned of addictive potential. I know of people who have used it for prolonged periods and their personalities do change, they get hyper and paranoid.

Solid info thanks @Cincimilla Genetics ..I'm definitely going to try it..just waiting to see the cardiologist and speak with him about it as well..kinda lucked out cause he is one of the docs that push towards natural herb and such after heart attacks..He already spoke to me about multiple herbs and gave me links to read..one of the first things he brought up to me was Alma and nattokinase...Crazy that he did because those are both things I already have that I haven't started taking yet...Got the Alma in the mail two days before my heart attack
And I certainly wasn't expecting to have one
.I've just always been that way. Always reading about natural approaches to things and the Alma and nattokinase was something I figured would be great for maintenance..He's was all kinds on board with the CBD and CBG... Pretty rare to even find a doc on board with those things let alone a cardiologist..Would be super convenient for cannabis to work for me the way it does others.. really bothers me it's not the case..If I could change one thing about myself it would surely be letting me enjoy the benefits of cannabis the I used to be..Not sure what changed after the accident but it really changed quite a bit of my life ...I've slowly gotten away from using cannabis ever since I got hurt...Hate that but it's just not enjoyable anymore..causes more negative for me and I don't need more of that..I'll certainly vape some of my favorites here and there but these days it's more to just get blasted...no real medicinal uses like it used to be

I think the method I saw previously was to freeze some flower in a qt jar, and freeze a separate jar of grain alcohol. Stick em in a deep freezer, cold as possible. Then you just pour the cold alcohol in to the flower jar and gently agitate it. After it's filtered I guess you could use it as tincture. Ideally you'd want to evap, but Im unsure how you do that without at least a little heat and then it ends up decarbing.
If anyone has attempted the above method, I'd love to hear how it turned out.

Also, I wonder if some aged hash would have a different effect
Ahhhh......I do believe that's true. I ran Good Medicine years ago and I got an amazing plant.really nice bud. It didn't do anything for me smoking it.......it got set aside for close to 2 years (jarred) and by then I was making carts so I squished what I had left, put it in a cart and the pain relief was significant and fast. it was good enough that now I have a tent full of cbd/thc/cbg mix. The differences were the aging and putting in a cart vs smoking. I'm thinking it's the aging and I'll find out as soon as I can press this current crop.

Nice! That myrcene to hashishine transformation is MAGIC.

Yeah, I've said before that one of the things that I miss most about Canada is being able to get legit aged hash delivered to your door in massive quantities. There's a big difference between it and flower of any kind for pain and anxiety relief.
