Brass? $$ scrap, it adds up.I don't think so, they have screws in some of them, and solder on some. Look like fuse caps or something IDK gonna toss em out.

That thing is awesome, and I totally agree about hanging out with the older people with all the good nuggets of wisdom. The land owner of the property here just ordered an Alaskan sawmill and found this vintage 1950's planer locally. You've heard of people that can fix anything, well this guy is one of those people. rainman type stuff, first person that I've known that I can say is a legit genius. it works but he's fine tuning it. I have a 80 year old buddy that used to work in the lumber yards his whole life and he came over and took a quick look at it and was able to point out some things that can be tweaked. I've always loved hanging out with older people, they really have so much knowledge to share it'll blow ur mind sometimes. the real vintage gems are them old folks.
he told me notice how this is before osha. check out the belts running right accross that knob thingy, that won't fly these days.
They'll surprise you in ways you don't expect. My 80yo buddy (for real my bestie) is about as randy and perverted as a 13 yo. It's like locker room talk whenever we get together. That thing is awesome, and I totally agree about hanging out with the older people with all the good nuggets of wisdom.
I could see a finger flying across the room, if I tried to play with that thing.
That’s cool, I’m trying to figure out what to power with it?Little steam engine toy I've had my whole life. Still works too
