That's why I drive a WRX now lol so long I stay out of the throttle, it gets decent gas mileage. Now, if I could just stay out of the throttle...

Nah, I haul the kids around a lot so that keeps me in check. Can't be an a-hole with precious cargo, ya know

It really runs out good in 2-4 I was surpised..... I got it for the gas mileage at the time it did get 36 mpg and mid 20's in the city.. Never drove it in the city but need something low for my dad to get in and out..... I got a Good deal on it so I got it.... when the fuel rail went out on my way back to ca form WV.. I had it fixed in Greenwood IN at Ray Skillmen and when they remaped it .. it never was the same..... I should of got a SS cause my mpg went to HELL........................

But it still will run 150 no problem if needed... it's just not a SS...

My SS would get 23mpg all day every day and that includes quite a few full throttle pulls! Now, with the cam and valve train work, I average 18mpg at best. The smiles per gallon increased significantly though! Lol

My nephews is a fastback working on a 406 small block using the 400 block that has the larger bore hes using heads that have 2.06 intake valves you cant use these heads on a 350 block because of the larger combustion chamber also will be using 5..7 length connecting rods the wrist pins almost at the top of the piston & a big block oil pump & a roller cam that has a different firing order it's not together yet he is currently running a 350 in it I've never owned a goat but had a bunch of other muscle cars I graduated high school in 75 when the first fuel shortage hit & those cars plummeted in price if I would of had the foresight to just buy a bunch of them & put them in a barn I would be a millionaire today but no I lived like there was no tomorrow nothing like taking a 69 ss396 through the cornfield lol
