Hello everyone.

I figured I'd get off my duff and do a grow log.

I've lurked long enough, time to contribute. I have been growing for 15 years but have only recently started to be active in a couple forums.

Ok, so, this round I have a few different lines going but in this thread, I want to focus on the Chem 91 x Sour Bubble line.

I germinated a 5 pack of Bad Dawg Chem 91 x Sour Bubble on 11-17-23.
It took these plants almost 2 month to sex.
I got 2 females which were plants #3 and #4.
Plants were repotted from their 1 gallon sexing pots to 15 gallon grow bags on 1-20-24
Those 2 plants are vegging and are about ready to go into the flower room.
I took cuttings of those 2 plants on 1-30-24 and had roots on 2-7-24 and then transplanted into 1 gallon pots.
Medium used is ROLS. The soil the cutting are going into is on it's 2nd run.
Lighting is LED from a few different manufacturers.

Will update progress soon.

Didn't tony green make that cross? Are these still available? @Bad Dawg
Tony Green had a deal during the holidays over at GLG where his freebies were a bunch of Sour Bubble crosses. I bought a pack of his Cat Eye (GG4 RIL) especially for the freebies, Lol! I don't think he's running this deal anymore. I'd have to look in my seed stash to be sure but I believe the list is as follows. All packs contained 5-6 seeds.

Chem 91 x S B
Sunday Driver x S B
Runtz x S B
Jeremiah Johnson x S B

The Girls are growing well and are busing out quite nicely after the 3rd topping.

Neither of these plants had any early branching.

They really just wanted to be single cola plants.

But I made them see things my way. Lol.

Stem rubs smell of straight chem.

Will be moving these into the flower room in a week or so when a couple of spots open up.

Feb 28th Update

Both plants have been in the flower room now for about a week.

Transitioning well with no signs of stress.

Plants are looking healthy with no deficiencies or toxicities.

They have responded well with my soil mixes and general environment.

Chem 91 x Sour Bubble #4
#4 is a bit bushier with more bloom sites than it's sister.

Chem 91 X Sour Bubble #3
#3 is a bit lankier and noodly.

Both emit a nice chemy smell when disturbed.

We're about 2 weeks into flower and they seem to be completing the stretch faze and transitioning into fattening up the buds.
They both roughly doubled in size during stretch.
Both have been the biggest cal/mag hogs I think I've ever grown.
Once you get that sorted out, it's pretty smooth sailing.
Am quite pleased with the growth traits. #4 being the bushier of the 2.

It's the beginning of week 3.
Everything is going very well.
Flowers are starting to swell nicely.
Both plants have been a joy to grow and are very easy to clone.
The only thing so far is that they require more Cal/Mag than most other plants I've grown, but I've mentioned that already in my last post.

Cumming up on week 4 of flower.

Buds are progressing well.
Plant 3 started to have a bit of a potassium deficiency but that has been addressed and all is well.
These plants have really needed elevated amounts of calcium, magnesium and potassium.
Once you get that figured out they're pretty easy to tame.
They seem to like the type of soil that you'd find in parts of Afghanistan.
A sandy, dryer soil that is low in Nitrogen and high in the previously mentioned elements.

April 1

Beginning of week 6.
Buds are starting to swelling and smells are getting stronger.

Plant #4 is going to be a good be yielder. But doesn't quite have the terp profile that #3 is developing.

#3 here is the clear winner when it comes to aroma.
It has an over ripe fruit with an indescribable funk mixed in.
Very intoxicating smell.

Week 7, the stacking and stinking continues.

#4 is starting to sag a bit under the increasing weight.
Yield will be great but this plant doesn't have the terp profile of #3.

#3 has a great terp profile. Over ripe fruit with that delicious funk that we all love.
Its also a really nice yeilder.
This one is loud AF too. It's going to be a real stinker after cure.

Week 8

#3 is turning out the be the clear winner here.
The aroma of funky sweet over ripe fruit is filling my whole house.
I can even smell this thing outside...in the yard.
If i keep this one around, I'm going to have to up my odor prevention game.
I really hope it smokes as good as it smells.

Both plants will yield exceptionally well. These would work well as a commercial setting, I believe.
