Sore today

Bitches got me worked out and than some mon

The struggle is real bro ! 36 or so plants I've got going outside and when they git big they drink like they're at an Irish family reunion LOL. Yesterday I got sick of seeing a Gelato seedling droop and put 4 gallons in her...I can count on one hand the number of strains that I've ever given 4 gallons of water too haha. It's worth it though; I'd never afford to smoke like I do if I had to actually pay for this stuff. But the work out is for real dragging gallons and gallons of water across 3/4 of an acre.

On the bright side, look how good your grow is :)

One of the best tips i got was to top dress the straw and mix in cannabis (fresh) too and that combo will keep ur medium cooler, moister. If you just added lesfs it may be tooo hot or retAin to much ( i apply 10-25% of what i take off ish)

Key is to watch ur rain and making sure its not being too moist over time, if tgat happens take it off temporarily? Honestly i live in very rainy and humid but it def worked and helped. When top dressing ferts/food i move it to one aide of top and afyer done replace with more or move it back ontop. Its insane how much living bugs and worms will be cruizing around if u got a layer to protect em and they will est any enemies and ur organic material.

One big move i changed This year and now i see 2x less watering and medium ecosystems are thriving! The leafs shrink and a day or rwo the water mass is gone and by a werk u can see the ecosystem eats it away like a bunch of fatty’s at a buffet..

raining!
After rain days gonnea foliar spray it up!

That's a great idea for that top mix bro, I try to allow the bugs in my garden as long as they aren't damaging anything and I like the results :) I do add Ladybugs myself as they're cheap and keep aphids in check which is one less thing I worry about by allowing the outdoor ecosystem to thrive. I also leave weeds and other plants to grow around my plants (my grow journal probably looks kinda dirty lol) but the plants around my plants cover the pots from the Sun and recently I learned that it's actually good for the soil around the pots too which I didn't know until I read it on here. I add some soil and potash where the pots go, and I only "weed" the garden if they get in the way for the most part. I like reading your journal, you're a damn fine grower, and your know how and informative posts are literally gold for any grower that wants to learn. I appreciate you.

* Foliar Spray (2 gal) : Venerate @7T + Regalia @60ml+ Botaniguard 22 wp @2T + Dipel PRO @ 3T + XC Calcarb @1T ( = last time applied for season ) + Grease Green label @60ml (raising rate next spray ) + PS TRUBLOOM @4ml (switching to terp gerp next spray) + GM BIO-COZYME @2T & SABF @15ML

* Dry Amendment (100 gal medium ) Top Dressed = Rock Phos @ 1/4 cup + Langbeinite @1/4 cup + Worm casting @ 2cups + Raw NPK microbe grow @ 1/4 cup + Insect Frass @ 2T & Mono potash @1T
^ Bloom booster added! DIY trial

* All the plants OD are sex ID confirmed ( only 5 males, all killed!) and many buds shooting! added more straw to the grow mediums + de-leaf many and adding 25%+ to top soil mixed with straw, since start of flower i'm forcing many branches into the cages since they def want to take over the walk ways , Added trellis to all 25 gal lines, trying to try the force the taller on those lines. so far so good. majority of strains are new to me outdoors but thats fun too and i consider outdoors a pleasure to do and love being in there and playing around like that. so much to do, farmers life 4 me lol

sometimes if there are gaps in journal since i spray every 3-7 or rain i will foliar spray but isnt logged here aka online (on phone thou) . Figured noone cares but i do try to get a general information what im doing in here, def not perfect in anyways and that’s okay ?

I do Switch back and forth from conserve and evergreen its just it rained so much the pest gained a hold. Shoot i didnt see one leaf infected last week. Yesterday i saw the plants sitting in the crab grass a shit tons of infection now. Shows how fast they def can infect! Ipm for life

this is why ive been using suffoilx ( mineral oil, nonresistance) with grandevo or venerate (non resistant) with a knockout. The evergreen hasnt been used in awhile and seeing aphids i really wanted to give em a kick. Thisis also why i applied botanoguard 22 Wp for em but also added diphel for the caterpillers. Key is with suffoilx is it can be used as many times u want but it says limited once a week. So like with any ipm i mix and rotate even when no lest pressure

Since i only sprayed 1/2 gal and it wasnt 100% coverage my plan is to foliar spray again today with DIY greencleaner @1-2 oz per gal of water.

than 3 days from than (1 gal water) apply conserve sc @5ml + grandevo @2T + diphel @1T + Grease @ 25ml + botaniguard @1T + Seagren @1ml + trubloom @2ml + bio-cozyme @15ml & XG calCarb @1T = 1st week flower i add many flower intro add ons.

I was gonnea do forbid or floramite but i dont wanna make my plants “deadly” if i have such a nice supply of good biocontrols and safer knockouts . Two spot hasnt ever been a hadd one to kill for me and its the fact i can see two spot all over my yard and on misc weeds its not like me speaying my plants will stop them there or wanting them to reintroduce themselves again. Just fact of outdoors vs sealed rooms indoors

oh and another IPM in doing is removing all infected leafs and adding them To regular compost bin, might as well and that’s if not best way to get get rid of a pressure is to straight up remove the leafs infected if possible. Another reason why u see my grow square almost all of the area is landscaped fabric, weeds and I sprayed plants equal pest pressure Inless adddressed . So I def need to remove any weeds and remove that crab grass in that area. ….
you’ll see ss, I’m not letting these bugs take me over, they do thsi every year and raid the whole outdoors. Thing was using suffoilx-x from a suggestion from my states ag ext gave me that advice and I took it, that stuff works but also is cheap as fuck and can be used with majority of pesticides/biocontrols . but Your 100% right about don’t over use any tradional too much exp when they tell ya their limits per cycle. this is another reason why I log what I’m spraying so I don’t over use it too much per season.
I'm quietly watching over here mate aswell.
Keep trucking, I'm paying attention.

* Foliar spray (2 gallon water ): Grease gold @80ml + venerate @6T + SABF @15ml + botaniguard @2T + Dipel Pro @3T & TERP Gerp @10ml

up-coming shit in gonnea put a 2nd layer of trellis, but I really need to focus on making sure everything is well de-leafed . I’m sure the plants need more dry amendments soon too

09/03/22!

Flower season is here and i'm pleased to say pest pressure ultra low! seem to be if not gone right now OD so i'm daily IPM scanning every 1-3 days and right now no pest pressure issues and also no pest damages, huge thing at this time of to have your shit under control. Only issue i see and its certain pheno's (small %) that some have a small amount of Leaf Spot septoria , so i'm focusing on removing any leafs in those zones and removing properly . Been foliar spraying a good multi mode protection for such and pest but septoria is one of those things you just have to expect to come out and attack certain strains. happens every year , key is catching it early and also making sure you don't let the infection spread (like everything).

life right now is trimming , prepping , harvesting veggies and fruit its deleafing and other misc growing work. def most busy time of year but i wouldn't want it any other way.

Come As You Are
Beautiful garden!

Do you ever have issues with birds landing on the chicken wire and pooping on the bud?
I can't put anything over a plant that a bird can land on. My first year outdoor here, one plant was under my neighbors elec/cable line that runs over our yard and finches decimated it.

I have a friend dealing with it now because he grows in a large chain link dog run and birds land and poop on his plants all day. They even land on the owl he put out to scare them off ?

I get bird droppings once in a while.... I should have filmed it cause it was probably hilarious when my face went from happy smiles to seeing a black and white clump right on a Blue Cheese bud... lol. It happens now and then; I just cut the bud off and tossed it though. Me as a grown man out in the garden yelling like "listen up Musky Bait! Stay away from the Cheese!" Lol.

I have grown here in this square for over 10 years and believe it or not never once i had bird poop on a bud or they a issue at least for mature flower ( rains alot here )
my back yard is a natures dream place to live like birds. When u go near sunset youll see 100’s of birds of all species flying around but also the unlimited supply of food and trees which are all 2+ acres away from grow makes it so most birds and pest like deer i never see a issue. Even rabbits or squirrels and misc dont est my veggies are a pest cause they are so many things they dont even want to fuck my stuff.

Cool thing theres so many predators for even bugs i dont even have a mosquito issue majority .

Bot bragging but man its nice to have a big ol swamp and tons of area for nature to play and they see my open field section as blah
