I agree the cult following certain breeders have is ridiculous. But to say that all cannabis breeders are leaches is just disrespectful in my mind.

What have they contributed? Same plants/phenos I was growing out 20+ years ago with different names. Where are all of the stabilized lines or advancements in cannabis they’ve done in the past 20 years? Stabilize your seeds or breed something that is actually different and I’ll give you plenty of respect.
Yeah, I was mostly referring to my own tribalism. I care so much about this forum and the people here I feel obligated to defend my positions here in a way that I would never bother with elsewhere. I actually care what people here think. But sometimes it's not really necessary. It's highly unlikely we ever persuade each other to change our minds through an argument on the internet.

My contributions were to my bank account and the other growers I came across in real life. How many people did you share a cut of Sour D with in the early 2000s? How many tightly held cuts have you giving to someone so they could make some money? But, hey keep thinking these lames looking for your money are some legends of cannabis. Also, I buy seeds now because I don’t sell or anything these days. So, I don’t keep mothers or anything and just run through seeds. I haven’t wanted to do a seed run lately unless I have space for it.

Growing? Not long, I never had to. I was contributing to society, which you speak so highly of. But I have been very involved in cannabis since the early 2000’s. You can think whatever you like, not worth arguing with you.

I wholeheartedly agree. This was aimed at sparking discussion over the impact this could have on the community at large, more so than a pissing match of cannabis clout.

Because whether we like it or not this could play a huge role in the way cannabis moves forward into a global legal market. You can say whatever you like about the people involved but their impact on the culture is undeniable.

This is why society is regressing at a rate of knots. Talking and worrying about what someone else is doing with their life and wasting energy and heartbeats on it. You only have so many heartbeats till that marvellous pump fails, why worry or wonder about what some fella is doing that is out of your control and is none of anyone's business?
As long as they cause my family no harm I do not worry or wonder what they are doing in their life. I hope they succeed and enjoy the fruits of their hard work as I do with everyone else on this planet.

I have the same mindset. I’m not worried about what anyone else does because I will still be out here doing my own thing. That’s all we can do.
