Young Ones, Black Books, and IT crowd are ones I forgot to add! Love those too lol!

I'm thinking of another one....... My Family ? Dentist Dad, borderline misanthropic and pretty damn funny.... his Wife in the show played on Doctor Who too. It's another good one that I got into while living in Quebec lol.

@Amarok ; lol you're welcome! When I moved back to Michigan my 18 year old cousin came with to help, and realized he was of legal drinking age in Quebec while we were there Haha!

@Ramjet159 - yeah you guys do have some interesting critters running around lol! Normally water that dangerous is in Africa and South America or Southeast Asia but you guys got that AND the spiders and snakes lol.

You ever see those big Sting Rays? I don't remember which part of the country they're in but apparently you can hand feed them shrimp! That'd be amazing!
Apologies on the late reply . I took a nap . Yep I’ve seen Rays up to 130 kg about as round as a dinner table and multiple barbs about 12-15 inches long . I know a couple blokes who have felt the barb up close and personal . Luckily they weren’t in a major organ like unlucky Irwin .
They make me nervous because when pissed off they can whip up and strike without warning and the barb is covered in a toxic slime .
My wife’s been bitten 3 times in the last 2 years around our yard by Redback spiders which caused her a little grief although after the 3rd time I’m beginning to think she’s probably starting to build up tolerance . White tips are the ones that scare me though . They’re roaming hunters with no fixed address so they can be in your shoe or under your bed or pretty well anywhere . The after affects of a bite can last years with ulcerating , festering bite wound causing scarring and general unwellness .
Honestly though it’s like anywhere , you become aware and adjust .

I learned way more about the UK and English quirks by watching Python all those years than I ever would have without them. I'm sure even now I don't get all the references but don't care. The Parrot sketch still kills as do far to many to list here. Amazing the effect on my life their humor had and made it so much richer and better.
Life of Brian . Still to this day a Python masterpiece

A very true statement.

Humans are a most adaptable species, which is why we've overrun the planet. We can adjust to almost any conditions.

unlucky Irwin
I don't know if you realize how beloved he is outside of Australia. Such a wonderful man who loved and appreciated nature more than anyone I've ever seen.

I disagree about bad luck though. He beat the odds for way longer than he should have gotten away with.

Every time I watch an old episode of Crocodile Hunter, two thoughts strike me:

1 The world is a poorer place without Steve Irwin

2 How the fuck did he live as long as he did?

I recently learned a funny bit of trivia. During the full frontal scene with Brian, it suddenly occurred to someone that being Jewish, Brian would be circumcised. Graham Chapman however, was not.

No problem, someone found a rubber band and created an instant circumcision via the power of illusion.

One more bit of trivia about britcoms:

Remember when the Young Ones went to the pub, and Vyvyan's estranged Mom was the bartender?

She is also the bartender in the Red Dwarf episode Backwards. She's uncredited in Red Dwarf, but it's listed on her IMDB page.
I'm likely the only one that gives a damn, but I got a kick out of it. :)

Just did some reading.

Redbacks are scary! Your wife must have been toughened up from hauling all your fishing gear up and down the cliffs; what's a spider bite after that? ;)

This sounds like the white-tails are a victim of a smear campaign. I'd still rather not be bitten though.

I used to watch Crocodile Hunter too. And yeah that dude was loved outside of Australia and it would have been cool to meet that guy.

The way he'd run up on a snake and knew what he was doing..... I could see me doing this with big Cats lol. I make jokes about dying trying to pet something I shouldn't but the struggle is real hahahaha.

Ah yes! Lol there was a golden section of British TV that was just wonderful. It's really hard to find these shows around here but I'm glad I got to see them?

I'm missing another one...... ok so it's set in a Church, and there's an old retired Pastor and a few others..... ugh I can't think of the name now..... anyone know?

Australians loved him very much and we were all stunned in disbelief the day he passed away . When I say unlucky I mean the bloke jumped on Crocodiles, handled our most venomous snakes , tussled with a more species than not that are dangerous and a stingray takes him out . If you’d ask any Aussie what’s the most likely bad thing to happen to Steve I guarantee no one would’ve chosen a Stingray barb straight to the heart .
That’s part of why the nation was so shocked , the way he died .

Not gonna lie; if I saw Wolves.... a part of me thinks I would stand there eyes wide open.... and fighting the other part like "it's literally illegal to grab one and run..... you CAN'T have one as a pet..... oh fuck a baby Wolf.... it's so cute! I'm going for it" lol. I LOVE Wolves.... Wolves, Cats, Catfish. Any of those ever kill me it's cause I did something stupid lol. Orcas too! I LOVE Orcas! There so smart and so pretty.... I'd be the idiot hopping in the water trying to feed it lol.
