So as soon as I dunk this years beans, this can become my permathread. As always, visitors can post pretty much anything, I don't care.

My 4th year growing, this grow is only possible thanks to the welcoming and generous nature of the pH community, and I'm grateful and humbled to have the opportunity to grow and enjoy the genetics I'll be having a go at this year. At present I'm busting open the holes in the ground. For germination I will dunk 'em and put sprouts in Rapid Rooters which will in turn go into a tub of soil about 3 x 4 ft. That tub fits on a cart so I can move it in and out of the shed as needed for a while before they get installed in the ground. I likely will do little to zero topping or anything like that, although of course I will do my best to fight the infection/infestation battle. Every year there's worms to contend with for a while but I have never had complete crop failure thankfully.

So here's the line-up. Just one plant of each, except any males will be isolated and used to hit something else single-branch, and I'll pop another trying for a female. Ooooo baby I'm excited about these, it's going to be fun.

Freak Genetics - Blackberry Bread and Chosen Juan
7th Day - Grapesmac and Googly / I may replace Googly with Mr. Bubbles, I want the one with Indiana Bubblegum in the parentage that may be Bubbles
Brisco - Campbell County Cheese, HZM Cheese bx1 x 710 Cheese, I have another strain of Brisco cheese can't recall the name atm but will likely add 1 of it
Cincimilla Genetics - '79 Thai x Panama Red, and Alderpoint Sour Diesel
HBZ - Pure Michigan f4 x Grapesmac, and Slymer x Mendobreath

Dunk Day TBD, I'd like to get them out as early as possible and it's an early Spring, but I've also had to do cold protection measures on Memorial Day weekend before, so no real hurry but it won't be long.

The Mr. Bubbles is the one with the Bubblegum for sure. I'll be watching along here, got some of those Alderpoint Sour D's also, gonna have to pop those soon.

So excited to be in your lineup. Those are both going to be mid-hight and heavy yielder. So stoked!

Some great stuff there. Have some of it running myself right now. Grapesmacs looks and smells amazing and are both cruising along, mine have another 4 or 5 weeks I'm guessing. Just popped some Mr. Bubbles(6/6) and Chosen Juan(4/5). With the genetics your holding it's practically a guarantee you'll have many gems.

Alright fellas, I've got beans in water over here and I don't mean pintos or great northerns, not making soup.

First group of 5 went in the drink yesterday and in just less than 16 hours the Grapesmac and Alderpoint Sour Diesel both had a tiny but discernible poker showing. Never had that in so short a time before. I rolled them all in a pill bottle scuffer and used a couple drops of peroxide in the 1/2 dixie cup of water they're in. The next group will go in today or tomorrow.

My sleep hours have gotten all dicked up the last couple months because of my wifes work hours, I'm having trouble molding my own hours to mesh with hers. So mostly the last few weeks I've felt like I've been ate by a wolf and shit off a cliff, demotivated. Hurting and tired af while sleeping too much at the wrong times. The sight of those little pokies gave me a quickening though and some positivity that I'll get myself straightened out so I can get a few things done.

1st group popped and in rapid rooters at just about 48 hrs. from soak. To me that's like warp speed. And boy do I fuckin' LOVE Rapid Rooters, I may write them a poem. Although I turned mine fat end down and made my own hole in the skinny end.

2nd group just now went in the drink, and there's another 1 or 2 strains I still need to dig out of my wee vault. I'm starting one for a friend, and gifted 5 beans each of @Cincimilla Genetics Antenna Cookie Haze x Gorilla Biscuit and Buckeye Purple x Ruby Red Gorilla Bubble, because the guy likes Gorilla Glue so much. He only likes to do 2 plants, but I told him he just as well pop them all, grow them to sexing and then give what he doesn't want away. He lives in my hometown so we'll see what comes of that *giggles* half the town has weed growing in the back yard these days.

So, I'm doing 10+ strains, just one plant each and when males appear I will isolate them the best I can and try another bean of that strain. I will probably end up with some pollen and a good chance I'll try some single branch action making seeds, but no telling what crosses might be made until it's down to it.

roughly what % males/females do you get using reg seeds? are you on the lucky side of more of the ladies? I feel like i'd have 11 males if I started 10 reg seeds with my luck. lol

I know that feeling of irregular sleep patterns only too well . It makes you realise how vital a regular sleep pattern is to maintaining yourself . After I returned home from work where my sleep times were literally all over the clock it would take me a good 3-4 days to sync up with the rest of the house .
Anyway I look forward to watching the Captain work his craft .
Good luck and trouble free growing my friend 👊🏻

I haven't actually done much of my own starting from seed, I've mainly grown out starts from someone else. Mostly those were cuttings that were known to be female, but there were a few that he had started from seed and I had to watch for sex, but no way to know the ratio. What little I've done came in around 20% male.
