Breeder cuts. Just want to see if their cuts are any more special than plants I get pheno hunting seeds.

From where and what'd you get. Just need some place trustworthy. Talking with a guy on IG now but just not sure.
IMO @GCG there is not a lot of differences between your very best pheno hunt and that of another breeders best hunt. As you know a lot has to do with the way it is grown as well. I have a couple of elite cuts in my garden and i feel like they all just took a back seat to @HydroRed 's Citrus MLIF #3 cut. So you never know were the next elite cut will be created. From what i have seen of your work you will have that special elite cut before long. Plus don't let your guard down by bringing outside cuts into the garden. I struggle trying to find a good place to quarantine them from the main garden.

Has anyone ever seen Blue Dream Santa Cruz cut being offered anywhere? That specific cut is awesome but I've had tons of other Blue Dream thats been more like mids. Tried seeds and got shit results too. Thats the kind of cut I'm talking about. A true outlier. Seems like that BD cut is held tightly though, probably not easy to get a hold of true unicorns.

Dude named oneoftheluckyguys530 at strainly and ig. Got Corey, pack o seeds and Skywalker freebie. Didn't come as fancy as some, but safe secure, healthy. Should have used my new diy cloner, but got skeered at last minute and did plugs and dome. If they don't make it, it's on me. Been talking to a quetzelcoatl, something like that, gonna try him too maybe, his are rooted, new guy was just cuts. But much bigger selection. All I got so far. Obviously rooted are more expensive, I'm gonna practice no all I need is snips. New guy does do rooted, just none ready now and I'm impatient, lol

No personal experience yet, but lots of research...
Obviously, the best option is knowing someone on a friendly site, like this one here. You can build relationships, watch the cut grow, and find out how the person got that cut, etc.
From my reading of most of the threads here, not a lot of us seem to have a lot of those cuts, but more new/personal crosses. That's not a bad thing though, especially seeing the beautiful plants everyone's growing, and sharing here. I'm sure there are some as good or better than lots of elites.
Now, if your favorite buddy on this site doesn't have the cut you're looking for, you've still got a few days to check out Strainly.io before they take their break, for however long that will be.
There's also a thread dedicated to the site, and more importantly, who's reputable, over on RIU.
Santa Cruz Blue Dream was there a bit ago, from a reputable source, but I can't remember who now, and didn't see it in a search a minute ago.
You can get pretty much any clone you can think of through someone there, if you're willing to pay what they want, but there's also a huge range of prices, depending on things like where the seller is, where they ship to, rarity of cut, size of cut, etc. You can likely get SCBD from any of the reputable sellers for 50-100. They probably just don't list it because it's old news to most, thanks to all the non-Santa Cruz let downs out there.
One reputable bank I've heard good things about is The Pink Box, but can't remember others at the moment.

Instagram is good too, I hear, but in the end, it's about who ya know, and how well you trust them.
Some of those sellers are users under different names at sites like ours and others, so you can find journals of some of their cuts, etc.
Quetzalcoatl cultivars and Dookie Farms are both guys on RIU.

Lol! I didn't wanna put the poor guy on the spot, but he's one of the only ones I could think of here with such an elite harem...
The experience of growing out elites left me with a higher regard for the plants I've held from pheno hunts. Not that I'm downgrading elites, it's more that the seed hunted plants were elevated once I realized they could hang. I have plants that were hunted from a cross that has retired the original cut in rotation. It's difficult to think a plant you found out of a 12-seed gifted pack could be at the same level as cuts with all the history/chatter/mystique of elites, but it happens more than you may realize. Some of my most requested smoke is from pheno hunted plants.
Another point to consider is what trait(s) crowned these cuts with the title of "elite". Usually, the quality of the final smoke is all that is considered. Which means it says nothing about all the other traits you get to deal with when growing them out. Think back to the last time you smoked with someone and they exclaimed: "Whoa, you can really taste the quick flowering time!" Some can: get super tall, have very low yields, take forever to throw roots, etc. I have a cut that if you didn't know what you were getting yourself into, you'd swear something went wrong waiting for her to veg. She's a good smoke and has a very peculiar look, but elite does not mean they excel in every aspect. So an elite may only be marginally more potent than your pheno hunted plant, but your plant may surpass the elite in every other aspect of growth for only a minor concession in potency.
Word on the street is that he included his favorite Skunky D mother too. Apparently he hasn't heard that you're supposed to hoard your creation and hype it to hell and back on IG to get a buzz goin', what an idiot.

Hit up firstclassgenetics on IG. Email him for the menu. He has Santa Cruz Blue Dream and about 80+ others. Very reputable and professional to deal with. I've slways recieved clean and healthy cuts from them. That shouldnt stop you from quaranteening the cut when you get it though. Always quaranteen.
