yes but theres no need, the protocols I’m using can go hundreds of meters over wire

But there’s all kinds of radios that could be used depending on what kind of environment it is, how much interference there is etc, or other considerations.

a couple advantages of wire are reduced development complexity, the ability to provide power over the wire negating the need for separate power wiring, and of course reliability

Love the technology, and automation dstroy0! Right up my alley :) Pulling up a chair good sir! What devices are you running PoE on? I have been using Ubiquity equipment for some time networking wise, top notch. Set up a Ubiquity Nanobeam bridge (PoE) for my buddies barn about a mile off the road to his house, clear LoS, hit the fresnel zone without issue.

I am just a hack when it comes to this stuff but I'd definitely like to beef up my home network at least. Dead spots in the garage and yard. I have an Asus router but I had to go with net gear modem cuz it's the only one compatible with my service for gigabit speeds.

I bought a wireless mesh ubiquity router came with two AP, not a cold spot in 3000sq/ft. The router in on the main floor with the AP on each floor, opposite ends. Was a little more on the expensive side, but worth every penny.

That's cool, trees always seem to like to grow right where the most resonant part of signals are planned to be for me :(

Just some arduinos and rpi for home automation on PoE.

Great job on the LR and WC strains @dstroy0 . What's next in the line up? Curious minds want to know! I am finally getting things moving again after a rough bout with some bad coco. I lost ( i think) my new GP4 cut in it. The salt content must have been extremely high in the coco.

Grape ape under the new cmh and cannarado banana punch are in the cloner.

I've got quite a few things to do to get the new controller installed, mostly just housekeeping stuff and I need to build a stand for the box.

Thanks for that. I may consider it once I have some other things done that will involve walls. What if for now I use my existing AC3200 and get a WAP or repurpose a router, would it be worth it?
