Ah, k. I thought the main cup was sitting on something to keep it outta the overflow in the bottom cup.

Once roots start coming out of the drain in the top cup, they go down into the overflow cup, so it’s sorta like an autopot? But the roots out of the hempy drain are the wick.

I like watering these, dump out the overflow cup and I know how much water it takes to make them overflow so I put that in each one. They’re dirt cheap to run.

Right, on, yeah, I've never run a proper Hempy, I don't think, but I've run similar styles, and love em too!
I'll have to try a proper one some day...

Sunset strip is just cruising along. I didn’t change the res at all during veg, let it go two weeks again and changed it yesterday. Still using tapwater and no top ups. Yesterday when I changed the res the EC was 2.5. I don’t know why this is working.

Thanks a lot! The secret to keeping it that way is… I don’t know. I only go in there to train or prune, that probably helps keep the dust down some. ?‍♂️

It can drop the temp in the root chamber quite a bit, helps a lot when they’re too small to cover the pot. If you want what’s on top of the bucket look for “double reflective insulation radiant barrier”.

EC 2.5? I'm no hydro guy by any means... Tried it for a couple rounds for funsies after I got started and a few grows under my belt... But that is super low, no?? Yet that plant is thriving...going bonkers!!?

It starts at 1.6, 2.5 is really hot. I don’t know why it’s working without burning them, but it is.
