Hi from Sudbury area!

Hi folks! I'm new here from the Sudbury, Ontario Canada area. I like to call my home/lot Bedrock cuz that's what my house is built on. I haven't had a grow going in over 10 years but I finally have lots of room and I'm also a Health Canada ACMPR patient. I scored some 2022 Landrace Warden seeds out of Afghanistan and Pakistan that I would like to grow out and produce some seed to share and preserve.
1. Wadawu Valley Hindu Kush (purple variant), Nuristan Afghanistan
2. Karakoram Rush Peak (purple variant), Gilgit, Hoper Valley Pakistan
3. Hindu Kush, Khyber Agency (purple variant), Tirah Valley, Pakistan

My limited research so far suggests open pollination is the way to go. I'm still a ways off before I have enough courage to crack these beans. I only have 5 of each so I want to be sure that how I am growing will work more often than not. I don't want to make the big learning mistakes with these.

I'm also a computer geek and a Toyota pickup truck nut... 4 wheel drive fun to get to the best fishing holes!

Cheers!

Thanks for the encouragement, really! I'm just too worried about screwing up and losing these treasures. I'm going to hold off for a bit but will get to them soon enough. Imma have a look at the vault but my head is spinning from all of the great information on here. Love it!

I would catch bits and pieces here and there when my kids were watching it. Ended up single late 2016 and I did a lot of binge watching, including Gravity Falls. A kooky show for sure that has way too many similarities to real life, kinda like Simpsons.
Yeah, its funny how some of these "kids" shows end up so insightful lol. Im a big animation fan so I end up getting really into some of their shows

Just noticed the titles of Staff member and Moderator... Mr. Corpse, sir! 🫡 I hope that I didn't insult anyone by complaining about the site-generated emails and then offering my technical services. 🫣 I just happen to think that Spyralout's time is worth too much to have to spend so much of it getting new users verified and stuff. I didn't mean any disrespect by it.

I didnt see any of that honestly, and wouldnt have been the least bit offended if I had. I used to moderate Reddit subs, you'd have to do far worse than complain about some emails to come off as disrespectful for me. Also Im definitely not involved in the tech side of things. Im an "answer questions and enforce the rules" moderator not one of the ones that actually does stuff lol.

I know the reason for all that stuff is the sheer volume of spam accounts and bots that try and sign up for the site but thats the extent of my understanding of that issue.

Greetings and salutations @Old Man McGucket. You are in a good place, we don't suffer trolls here so feel free to ask anything, we are here to help!
I'd be happy to send you a handful of my chucks, if you want to practice on free seeds first. Just ask!
That's very kind of you to offer. What kind of genetics have you been working with? I have some feminised seeds that I can buy again pretty much any time so I am not without options, just chicken-hearted for the stuff that has a description like
Dominant smell of offensive chemicals, putrid and gasoline funk with lighter notes of walnuts.

Offensive and putrid are calling out to me. 😝

Nice. Something tells me you'll be hearing from @Psychobilly. They say if you say "cheese" he appears.

I still battle bugs every fall, but that's after only 3 years of growing. It's that nervous time of year when I fret over caterpillars and bud rot. Well good luck, even if it's been a few years I expect you'll fall right back into it.
