Hi from Sudbury area!

Whoah, you are pretty hard core for tech. I just go waaaay back to my youth spent in front of a Commodore Vic 20, then C64, then Amiga 500, finally PC X86, DOS, Windows 3.1, re-installing Windows 95 every 3 months... I would say that I am only a bit of a geek in your presence...

A VIC 20!!!! The Darth Vader computer!!! Man that's before my time personally but I know what they look like :)

LOL you know, I used to have a floppy disc I named "Bitch Batch", that would copy all passwords from RAM onto the Floppy, and then run a command:

deltree C:\WINDOWS *.* /y

Delete everything and don't ask if I'm sure basically. I used to really enjoy what I felt were simply pranks when I was younger, but now, I know I was being a bastard LOL. You ever play the original DooM or Quake ??? I had those even though they were already old, as I loved those games.

Thanks for the link to the fishing thread and thanks a bunch for reading my post... The user community is very welcoming and helpful. I hope to be able to share some fishing adventures although I didn't even make it out once this year.

Yeah I didn't make it out either :( But it's OK, I guess the Catfish of Michigan can breathe a sigh of relief for ONE season haha.

I have had good experiences with stinky stuff so I am on a quest for the nastiest or weirdest smelling flower to ring my bell. Like a personal goal to offend someone with the smell but smoke smooth and kick you in the teeth, in the nicest possible way. Some might say just an excuse to buy seeds and smoke weed. I don't like it when she nags like that. 😝

Oh man, I have to say Dead Whabbits would be a good idea. I have my first plant of that outside right now, and when the seedling was still a tiny baby, with only 3 inches of green on it, it smelled like raw Steak. Then as she grew, the smell of raw steak and cooked steak (burnt grease and all that) started coming through.

Now she's in flower, and the smell... The Wife grew up hunting, and described it as a gut shot Skunk that died a while ago and started decomposing :) It says they should smell like rotting meat when they're done !!

Chem D is another one I'm a huge fan of, and I've had it give the smell of bad breath / poop before. Cheetos isn't really offensive, as it basically smells like Sharp Cheddar / Blue Cheese to me. Susie Cream Cheese can smell like dirty feet... That's one of my favorites there.

Ok, Dead Whabbits, check. Sounds deliciously foul. I'm a big fan of everything Chem too.
A smelly seedling is something that I have to experience myself. 👍🏻The Dead Whabbits seeds are only 35 Canuck bucks at HempDepot, so practically nothing in USD...

The nostalgia of the smell of dirty feet. Brings me back to my days spent on the Vic 20. My father was a carpenter and when he took his workboots off at the end of the day, the fine odour of hot and ripe athletes foot. 🤢 Not pleasant but unforgettable.

Yeah, showing my [ripe old] by talking about my childhood in the eighties. Sigh. My first contact with technology was in 8 bits. I never did play DooM or Quake. My video game plateau was on the Commodore 64 up to the early 90s. I discovered that I wasn't very good at video games because I would always spaz out under pressure and move the joystick the wrong way. Hand-eye coordination not great. For too many things, my attitude is "If at first you don't succeed, quit." ADHD quirk. Put me in front of something I like, I'm a different person.

Yeah, you should totally check into that one man, I'm impressed! Not only that, but here in Michigan, she was the first plant to flower, and I legit will be checking her resin colors soon; Pistils have already started coloring in. Seems to be REALLY fast. I have a little tiny clone in flower that is only like 6 inches or so, and it's all bud all the way.

Chemdog is also a very special one for me :) Cheese and Cheese crosses are my #1, and Chem and Chem crosses, are my #2 (I don't have them in any particular order really, I'd have to smoke them all back to back to really make a list, and some I simply can't find anymore).

Ever had GMO ? Chem D X GSC, smells like Garlic and fried onions, and a little bit of not so fresh meat :)

Hehehe, I've been sniffing Limburger Cheese since I was like 6. I also like the smell of a Skunk spraying. I call them Chem Cats.

Understood man. So, you got a journal ready for your adventure yet ? I've been in Ontario so many times I've lost count (I grew up so close I could see Ontario from my bedroom window at night) and I spent a year living in Montreal Quebec so I've been all through the southern part of Ontario. I miss the raw Cheese.

When does frost hit your area? Up here its October 1st, southern Ontario mid-October. Dead Whabbits are calling...

I've not had GMO yet but I'll be looking for it now, thanks! Same for Cheese strains but I have some Blue Cheese seeds in my stash for some day soon.

Journal ready? Nope, not yet. I'm not even sure if I know what you mean. Imma have to see what other people are doing and pretty much copy the style(s) I like. Hopefully they'll agree about imitation being a form of flattery. I'll be sure to check first with the user before pilfering anything. Also credit said user if they want.

I was looking at the Susie Creamcheese and it looks like a few packs were still available. I will be reaching out as soon as I figure out personal messaging.

I hate myself for being such a bean seeking pothead (when I'm broke and can't buy any) 😝

Don't panic! You don't necessarily have to purchase beans, there are plenty of chances to run testers, win contests, and sometimes, just for asking! Good will, kindness and so much more are the reason this place is different.
Starting a grow journal is a great way to start out. We all learn from each other and there's plenty of help as well!

It depends really; normally I just run outside in the morning and shake the snow off my plants when it's snowing overnight. Once the temps go back up mid day they go back to growing good, so I take the win LOL. Normally we try to have everything chopped by the second week of November, and that's usually fine for what I'm running.

GMO I got to run this past season because a dispensary shake ounce had 20 seeds in it, and I REALLY like that strain, so I ran some. Turned out good, though it does take a bit longer than most of what I run, but she finished on time so I was good with it LOL.

The Journal thing, is the Grow Journal Section where we all have our grow journals, just documenting the grows basically.

That is the section :)

Blue Cheese is a big time favorite for me :) Quick finisher too!

Not panicking, I don't think. I am interested in rank, funky smelling strains and one of your kind users (pushers? 😀) let me know all about Dead Whabbits and Susie Creamcheese. The beans are out there. I will let this pass then and work the contests, testing and be patient for a change. Deep breath... Thanks!

I found your journal and took a look at the very beginning. It must be nice to have a built-in grow partner. 👍🏻

Thanks for the link. I'll be doing a deep dive later.

The Wife gets to pick some of what we run since, well, that's how it works LOL. That's why I have some of those "not Cheese" or Chem plants in the garden. She has stomach issues, and a few strains we've found really help with that a lot. She picked out a few for this season, and then I grabbed the rest and we started up. I also have my first male clones running right now so I can try and spread the Cheese farther along :)
